It's interesting that Sonic & Tails recognize Green Hill & Chemical Plant because in the original game in 2011, they didn't. Also, please note that Shadow don't recognize Mephiles. Which makes sense because if you know the ending of Sonic '06, you already know why Shadow don't know about Mephiles.

Only weird plot point are why does Shadow have access to areas like Sonic Forces levels or Sonic Frontiers. This one was not really explained well. I get that they wanted to include them but this happens in the future after Sonic Generations and not the past.

This. And werehog levels need a rework. For ex. the checkpoint need to be much much closer and there needs to be more. You shouldn't have to respawn at the beginning of the level because you messed up some parkour. You should just take a bit of damage. Little things. I loved werehog but it definately needs a rework if they are going to remaster unleashed. Sonic unleashed in its entirety could be perfect if they tweaked the werehog levels just a bit. I love the feel and the flashing of the werehogs moves and I loved the park our but respawning so far away because I messed up once or died to enemies fuckin sucked. Sonic unleashed def needs a remaster.

I really like the Shadow Generations gameplay's graphic and animation that look even as good as Sonic Forces, Sonic Superstars, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Modern Sonic 3D non-gameplay CGI cutscenes, some of the 3D Super Mario games, and/or the Kingdom Hearts III game's graphic and animation!, if even Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is made by only both SEGA and Sonic Team and not also by Nintendo. But why are the Sonic's birthday party cutscenes' graphic and animation from Shadow Generations still look like the same graphic and animation quality as Sonic Generations' graphic and animation?

Hmmm, I wouldn't necessarily call it a sequel, or a "remake" per say... it does have some slight changes here and there, but other than that it is relatively the same game, probably the only major difference or addition is that they added shadow as a kind of a "DLC" with shadow not only being playable, but also with new features, techniques; gameplay wise eith some added levels specifically for shadow and hia storyline, the only thing is that shadow can't play sonic levels nor sonic can't play shadow levels cause of the design...

My mom is frustrated, though, because she thinks there aren’t any real changes in this version of Sonic Generations. But there are clear differences-like updated voice lines and new voices, plus modern Sonic now has dialogue after completing Act 2, right after you finish Act 1 as Classic Sonic. The biggest change is that Shadow is now a fully playable character, complete with his own dedicated mode and you can also find different Chaos
