How do you like the Zoom unit? I was pretty interested in that when it first came out, but never ended up getting one.

@ I really enjoy mine. I think it’s main limitation is the amount of processing if you’re using one of the on-board IR’s, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for effects. I still play mine through an amp. So that gives me plenty of room for my standard gate, compression, drive, amp sim, and delay. Stompbox mode lets me toggle up to four of those. Bank mode lets me switch through presets colored to match basses with varying outputs.

Yeah I was kinda surprised at how quickly you could max out the effects on the Zoom. The Matribox seems pretty generous on that front, even though switching that many effects on and off isn’t really possible without more control groups.

How does the Boss stack up?

@ in short I’d say the Boss is less customizable, as each effect slot is predetermined to effect type (OD, delay, modulation, etc) …BUT it’s hard to argue with the classic Boss effects. It’s also the same price, but the Boss doesn’t have XLR outs. It also lacks a screen, and is all tactile knobs, which could be a + or - depending on your preferences

There's a channel called Theo And His Pedals, and he did a video on this pedal where he talks about how you can add a clean blend by putting the Send block at the beginning of the chain and the Return block at the end of the chain. If I can get my hands on them, I’d be happy to review them! I don’t really have contacts at either company and I don’t really have a budget to buy either myself but I will keep those in mind if I ever have the opportunity. Thanks for watching!

Great video mine just arrived Is there a way to change bank up and down to Next/Previous patch instead? I find myself using stomp mode all the time during gigs, and when I want to change to the next patch in the same bank (ex. 30A to 30B) it opens Bank 31 and lets me select A B C D from there with the bottom foot switches.

Is the octaver on the Valeton GP-200 just as bad? They both are made by the same manufacturer and share many of the same affects so it seems.. Wonder how the octavers compare.. oh, and the compressors ?

Hello ! Thanks for the demo! I tested it in rehearsal, and a big latency appeared, plugging it into a power amp and my Marshall cab. In fact, the bass of my Metal preset only kicked in at the end of the chug. The sound was very compressed, and the quality was quite poor. Would you have a solution to this please? Thanks a lot!

Oof! No idea, but that sounds really bizarre. Does it do the same thing without being plugged into an amp? Do you have a lot of effects in your preset?

I have the Matribox II. While it is feature-packed, it does a poor job of outputting the low-end frequencies. This is a disappointment for bass playing. Is there any chance this was addressed in the Matribox II Pro?
