Uh... but we all can visibly tell Sonic is NOT covering 343 meters in one second at any moment during this stage. (343 m/s is the speed required to break the sound barrier.) I'm not a huge MatPat fan, but on that Game Theory video he shows pretty solid evidence as to why Sonic never broke the sound barrier, I don't know how come people still insist on saying otherwise.

This game deserves more credit. The only bad thing about this game are the werehog stages and somewhat unstable fps. Other than that everything is amazing. The story did not try to be anything edgy like the adventure games or too goofy like colors, it was an enjoyable journey with Chip throughout the world. The graphics are insane, its as good as the current gen games. The boost gameplay even though some people hated it, I think its perfect for Sonic. It made his games more distinct and different. Sonic Team balanced the boost gameplay on Generations, sadly they decided to ditch it for some reason.

Unleashed was the the best sonic game of the decade when it comes to modern sonic. This is what Sonic The Hedgehog is. Fast Paced Gameplay with Sonic running faster than we can even comprehend. Fast quick time gameplay where you only have a split second to make a decision. Banging music, Sonic being cocky cause he knows he’s killing it. And good level design like this. Cinos the Dense potato Unleashed had longer sonic levels, that take skill, memorization, and quick thinking, eggman land will destroy anyone who isn’t up to par with the games skill level, Forces has automated sections and times where the game even fucking plays itself, the story was horrible in Forces and plot consistency is nonexistent and despite the graphics being touched up, the design pases in comparison to this.. Do not, I repeat do not EVER compare that disappointment (that I still enjoyed) to Unleashed

Powdered Toast Man what you call dissapointment i call delusional standarts. The story in Forces is imo way better than Unleashed, simply for the fact you dont have an obnoxious gaia creature with wing flapping noises bothering you. And how funny, people complained about Eggmanland didnt they? I mean i dont hate Unleashed, hell the first level got my interest just for how good it was (and a little bias torwards my nationality), but i prefer Forces as a whole package rather than Unleashed which is half good half tedious medal hunting and fighting generic dark enemies. The graphics are either great, colourful and lively or dull and uninspired in the previously damned Werehog stages. Half the soundtrack is not audible because it is cut off by the dumbass battle theme aswell. For all the credit people give Eggmanland as the hardest sonic level they also dont like it when Forces has a challenging level such as Imperial tower. And lastly, hav i mentioned how ugly the models look in Unleashed? Im glad they finally made good models for once, Gens and Unleashed had some ugly ass models.

Cinos the Dense Potato honestly i couldnt disagree with you any more about unleashed, the levels aren't as linear as forces because the level design actually allows sonic to move around more in the 3D space, sonic can drift which you cant do in forces allowing sonic to move outwards in inwards, the pathways curve and there are less invisible walls on the side compared to forces. Stages like jungle joyride where you can literally run on water and take short cuts with alternate routes, the same for chun-nan, empire city with its own alternate pathways, i don't know if you are confusing getting from point A to point B as linear but forces was restrictive, go look at levels like luminous forest where all you do is literally run in a straight line until a 2D section, there is no incentive to move sonic. Also forces stages are underwhelming since they barely last longer than 1:30 seconds, the stages can be extremely automated and there is no challenge. It doesn't take a genius to see this at all, I'm not saying you cant enjoy forces but these are genuine criticisms not just blatant hate. They got the level design right in unleashed and generations but devolved it in forces. Every stage in forces for modern sonic is just basic. If you prefer forces' story cool, i'm sure the masterful storytelling of the power of bonds and friendship triumph all, is super fascinating glad you like it. But frankly as an experience its just mediocre at best, the story has an inconsistent pacing, sonic is gone, and then they bring him back in less than one cut scene, Classic sonic has no relevance to the plot and tails is the biggest bitch in the game, infinite is your generic edgelord that doesn't get shit done, and your fan made character saves the day with sonic because they're friends very original. To say the levels are dull and uninspired makes me question if you are looking at the same game because this game has the most quality than any other sonic game, from the graphics to the architecture to the models of the people in each continent, the places are based of real world areas how is that uninspired? All the the stages in unleashed are original unlike forces but I guess green hill with sand is mind-blowing with creativity to you. The model for forces is the worst i've ever seen, sonic in forces has no idle animation, his quills are shorter for some random reason and he is too stiff. At least unleashed and generations made him look alive rather than lifeless, sonic doesn't show any personality or impatience at all, classic sonic even has a better model than modern sonic. And i don't think I would choose listening to the overused synth in forces than actual instrumentation in unleashed that actually compliments the stage and has a lot of charm to it. (An exception with the avatar hero music and a few modern tracks). The is no challenge in forces, the only difficult part is controlling your character. Forces has no difficult levels, there are no lives so there is no sense of loss. People praise eggmandland for actually doing what a final level should do and that is actually being difficult, testing the player on everything they have learned form the beginning of the game, it should last more than 1 minute. The stage has several short cuts, alternate pathways since you clearly are misunderstood on the term linear. The werehog actually controls better than any of the characters in forces, the levels are original and the enemies actually attack you unlike in forces, funny how you call the gaia minions generic when the enemies in forces don't even have names and are literally boost fodder, they couldn't be any more bland. Obviously everyone has there own preferences but I just find your statements to be rather strange. Unleashed isn't without its issues but its definitely a more enjoyable and pleasant experience than forces.

This game is so fast that it’s REALLY trippy to watch Hard as heck to play, but FUN to watch
