It's a shame that I didn't hear this phrase in part 8 either. But in the story episode, in the Coliseum, the announcer says, “Choose your character.”

Actually there's an audio for that line. Unfortunately, it became a leftover in game files. Maybe they will bring it back to the game

There ya go! I really find kinda "weird" that tekken 8 broke the tradition of the game being released first in arcade and just years later launch in the consoles. I remember that back in Tekken 7 that have me so much agony because i wanted to play the game so much but had to wait an eternity to play the game lmao

I think I remember Harada saying that the graphical fidelity of Tekken 8 would lead to incredibly expensive arcade machines to be able to run it properly, hence why they probably invested all of that money into making the home version right out of the gate.

Man I did NOT miss T7 arcade. Some of the characters were straight up broken. It's a pretty different game from the home version, not to mention its lifespan was cut very short because the game did really well on console and not so much on the arcades. T7 had the exact opposite of what happened to TTT2.

Tekken 1,2,3,tag, and 4 give me intense nostalgia. 5 and 6 does also. but during tekken 5& 6 i was in high school and much older so i didnt play tekken as much... Tekken 2 Arranged is by far my favorite tekken 1 is funky and was the one that started it all for me. Tekken 4 reminded me of when i was becoming a teenager But tekken tag gave me hope being that i got the game christmas of 2001 and i was living in NYC and our city was all gloom and doom. tekken tag music along with capcom vs snk 2 the games gave me hope that things would be better.

Tekken 8 is just my long lost wet dream now lol am sorry and very sad about the announcers not being in that game that much if not at all??? Eh either way that part of me had faded away a long time ago after it had started not being on console games mainly after Tekken 2 and 3 I think??? Eh Maybe Tag Tournament too at least but that's it I guess.

Other Tekken games: I'll release in arcades first to appease the OG Tekken fans that used to play in the arcades, then release on console for the modern gamers to enjoy it. Tekken 8: Screw the arcades, I'm going straight to console! (Probably because current arcade boards couldn't have been able to run Tekken 8, but they could run the others.)

Damn this shows clearly how bad the intros of T7 were absolut terrible. Only the season 4 ist decent, I mean T7 is the only Tekken game with has actuall bad ost for stages! I mean helipad night? When I hear it I want to stick a pencil deep in my ear thats how bad that is. I did change it very quickly Helipad day and night for I think some great T5 ost.
