Very nice & well-exicuted demo. Sprinter patter camo was used both by the Luftwaffe & Heer, but there is a difference between the two. The Heer version base colour was more toward the sand /tan spectrum, where the Luftwaffe on was more toward the green spectrum, the green khaki you used for the bread bag would be a good colour in my opinion. As for the Luftwaffe uniform; what I have concluded from my own research is that in the early war years, the blue Luftwaffe uniform was worn in battle, but was replaced mid 43 with the field grey uniform when the regiments were incorporated into the regular army, but Fallschirmjäger troops did retain their Sprinter patter jackets as well as the Luftwaffe uniform officer & NCO caps with the Paratrooper & Luftwaffe badges.

The Vallejo Air paints are great brushed - they are already thinned to just about the perfect consistency for hand brushing (as opposed to the other Vallejo colors, most of which need thinning.)

The camo patterns of Germany's armed forces over the period are absolutely bonkers. There's no surprise there's whole libraries dedicated to the where, when and which were deployed and used. Still, starting with the common stuff gives you plenty to do with most painting projects!

Hi sonic! It took me over 24-ish years since I first stepped foot in a games workshop, and a years hiatus cuz of 2020- but I just finished my first army and theres no more sea of grey shame on my shelf! It was you that helped me stick to it, and gave me the drive to see it done. I just wanted to say thankyou for your videos, mixing and matching bits of your tutorials let me make the genestealer cult I've always wanted! Hive Fleet Ripley approaches... If you actually see this I've got a question! Red boltgun casings on ultramarines, yay or nay? ;P

Awesome! :D Really glad to hear it, that's great to know. Especially an excellent choice like Genestealer Cults... Personally, I dig the red bolter casings, but it's very much a Marmite kind of thing - some love it, some hate it, but everybody will have an opinion on it. Do what you feel looks best, but if you go the route of red, be prepared to hear about it! ;D

I've been moving out of my house for the last few weeks and will not be into the hobby for another couple months until the house has been remodeled. I'm going to have stacks of stuff to do when it's finished as have never stopped buying gaming materials.

Oh, no! I know all too well the pain of being stuck without hobby supplies when the itch is there... The worst was six months without all my kit when it was on a slow boat from New Zealand to Germany. Now that was hard! Glad to hear that this might prove some use when you do get your hands on your paints again. Fallschirmäger are a pretty interesting unit and being everywhere, you can always have more of them!

It's kind of a Malibu Stacey's new hat situation for me. I've got so many Cadians already, and the new Cadians are just the old Cadians with a new sprue. There's more accessories, but they're still Guardsmen; nothing crazy about painting them!

There are a few in the box which are wearing the shorter, early smocks which you could paint in green grey, but there's a lot of late war equipment with these plastic guys; you're best to paint them as 'later' figures, or pick up a dedicated set of metal miniatures if you want early war figures.
