I liked the TV show, it's kind of silly and has a lot of comedy moments but that's his intention, a comedy show with action moments, it was made for you to laugh and not worry about the story or script or anything like that, now it looks like Sonic Prime will be the opposite of that, but Sonic Boom was a good show in my opinion.

Fire and Ice was good. The show was pretty funny. It also had a Sonic Dash sequel which was also good. I think Sonic Boom didn't get the chance it deserved to flourish. I really like Amy's and Tails' design.

The show is top notch not gonna lie. I love how they have actual... character which is really nice. Rise of Lyric was just a trainwreck of being a bad game from the start. Nothing from it defined a Sonic game at all, and i hope Rangers doesn't end like that game. I've never really tried Shattered Crystal but fire and ice was an amazing game but it's sadly very forgettable (like the Team Sonic Racing situation but it's actually understandable that time) oh and you also forgot about the comics, almost nobody talks about them (that's why i didn't read the comics, hell, i even forgot they existed for a while.)

Imo I love the Sonic boom series! Yes while there are still some flaws here and there (especially some of the games), I’d say that the series still works well! To better expand this series within the Sonic franchise, I suggest having them appear within Sonic Prime since it’s mainly focusing on Sonic adventure within the multiverse. Once they receive that recognition (if the show itself executes well), then the series will go forward from there with probably re-releases, new Sonic Boom games, there could even be a possibility that the TV show itself will comeback but that’s just what I think in general. It’d be REALLY awesome tho. Personally I believe that for the most part, the series has a second chance.

I actually liked Sonic Boom MORE than Sonic X ngl, it had some better concepts(Amy being mature and not bratty, no breathing in space etc.) And there was some fairly decent serious, and funny moments if you think about it.

I wonder why the SEGA executives decided to launch Sonic Boom at that point in time… These types of “franchise revamps” happen when a IP isn’t relevant or popular with their target audience. (e.g. Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures) The Sonic IP, during the early 2010s, was doing very well for itself, winning back the favor of the general audience while still making a tidy profit. (e.g. Sonic Generations, Sonic Colors, and Sonic Lost World) Perhaps SEGA was searching for western studios to revitalize the Sonic IP long before Sonic Colors’s release, and released it to capitalize on Sonic’s newfound popularity with the public. 🤔 Maybe Sonic Colors was Sonic Team’s last chance from SEGA during that time…😦

Right, because after that first episode it was never quite as good after that, given that it would make jokes but it still knew when to drop them and take things seriously to give a sense of danger and stakes, making it feel like a totally different show. Compared to turning everything into a joke, where nothing is really taken seriously or has any impact.

I played rise of lyric and honestly i didn't think it was as bad as people say i did get enjoyment out of playing it and sure did had a much more fun time with it then with forces. And as for the tv show i like it but sadly im gonna have to say its my least favorite sonic tv show my main problem is how the characters are portrayed tails and amy are fine but i hated that eggman was a joke villian, shadow is basically the edgelord jerk sterotype, and knuckles...well you already know whats wrong with knuckles and as for sonic he has the snarky attitude but lacks the adventure loving personality main series sonic has.

I really do think sonic boom game rise of lyric game could have been SOOOOOO GOOD if it wasn't only on the wii u, because there ideas and concept art look SOOO COOL, but then had to scrap alot of cool ideas because of the wii u hardware. I honestly think they should make another sonic boom game made for current consoles and pc because I think it could possibly be one of the best sonic games ever! I also love the TV series to! 😊

Sonic Boom tv show was my childhood, I still watch it to this day. I've played Fire and Ice and its really really good. ROL has a really good story, like I mean I know it had to be rewritten but it ended up in a very decent and likeable thing to my taste, all characters were useful and they got along and that's something we dont ever see in ANY sonic game. For example, in the adventure games, in heroes, 06, unleashed, these 4 characters are there but they didn't have chemistry like the 4 Boom main characterizations. I know they made Knux dumb but I saw it as the cliche of "the leader", "the tough girl", "the smart one" and the "strong/dumb one", I mean cliches ten dto work so maybe that's why they dicided to write knuckles like that. I don't mind at all, I like all versions of him. I just think it was nice to see these 4 characters be friends and go on a journey together and not by completely separate parts. Another thing is that I find these designs cool and pretty (this last one was my initial thought when I was 9).

I mean, Rise of Lyric in retrospect is boring to play, the first time I played it it was cool running around, but the levels took way too long and the hub worlds are much too big for the purpose they serve, and don’t move fast enough through them to compensate. I will say though the best part about the game was the hydro dashing thing with Sonic and Tails

However Sonic Boom started to get hate, du to because some Sonic fans started realize that Sonic Boom is not the Sonic they wanted. It's not Sonic SatAM and it's definitely no Sonic X. Because Sonic Boom acts as the polar opposite of those shows. Sonic SatAM and Sonic X both have a good balanced of comedy and drama with action and adventure with some very dark moments like SatAM Eggman turning humans and animals into robot zombies in SatAM and Sonic's home world getting it's life drained out by the Metarex in Sonic X. Sonic Boom is more on childish meta comedy and sitcom formula similar to Teen Titans GO. Thus people like myself label Sonic Boom as the Teen Titans GO of Sonic Shows, yes it is that bad. I however call Sonic SatAM as the Spectacular Spider-Man of Sonic Shows and Sonic X as the 2003 Teen Titans, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Neon Genesis, Generator Rex and Original 2006 Ben 10 of Sonic Shows, yes there are that good.

I never really liked sonic boom I did like sonic and Amy’s relationship though and the character designs looked good except for knuckles the things I hated the most was shadow being a vegeta and Sasuke. And knuckles being a comedy clown character

I watched the show for a little while and kinda liked it. I didn't like how it was episode rather than series-based though, but it was still funny at least. I also didn't like what they did to Knuckles's character; they made him stupid for basically no reason. I only ever played the demo for Rise of Lyric and I honestly don't remember if I beat the demo stage with how glitchy it was. Needless to say, I didn't like it. All in all, Sonic Boom was certainly not the best era for Sonic, but we got some good one-liners and memes from it.

Played Rise of Lyric via Cemu. I went to hell and back to make that thing work properly. After spending about 10 hours for the playthrough I was unsure what to think about the game. I love SB on esthetics level, the VA is nice and the dialogs are still better than Forces or LW. I felt so much of the lost potential in gameplay and in character development that I can't be mad at RoL. It's still ugly and glitchy to the core... Somehow I can enjoy it. Even more than Forces, really.

Yeah, Sonic Boom wasn't the greatest series. In fact, some people have drawn comparisons between this series and Crash of the Titans and Mind over Mutant. After all, both are generic beat-em-ups featuring awful redesigns of beloved with only one of them actually looking good. Sonic Boom having a shinier Metal Sonic and Crash of the Titans and Mind over Mutant having Nina Cortex. Heck, Stephanie Sparda actually compared this to the Avengers game. That speaks volumes.

While Boom did have a few good episodes - The Sidekick being easily the best of the bunch, almost feeling like a different show, due it not being afraid to take itself seriously when the time called for it - I thought seemed more content to revel in its own mediocrity with its lame, unfunny jokes rather than actually trying to strive for something better. Boom Knuckles being a key example as well as this line. "Tomatopotamus (Sonic) never worked in 3D" It really does smack of desperate cries for attention. "Hey guys you think I'm rubbish, well I think I'm rubbish too! Please like me, please!" Would it kill them to allow Sonic to have a bit of self respect again?

@DemonDethChase Can people stop saying this? You don’t know this, but most people didn’t just like it for the self aware humor. They liked the more subtle and the characters. Sonic is more sassy, but he still cares for his friends. Tails is the most useful he’s been in the 2010s, actually defending himself. Knuckles is exaggeratedly dumb. But is still shown to be a nice guy, people wouldn’t have a problem with him if SEGA hadn’t built him up to become seen as an idiot, and that was before Boom. Amy’s feeling for Sonic are more hidden, and it’s s fine change. She’s at least funny, outgoing, and has flaws. They’re all stereotypes, but that’s the point. And the way they do it is funny. This “PanDeriNg To ThE CrITcs!” BS isn’t an excuse to say this show is mediocre. Using a quote from a 5 year old video shows that you love giving IGN attention and ironically beating dead horses. Being self aware isn’t a bad thing. The whole point of the boom franchise was to get western children to get into the series, as a way to get into the main games. Also, critics didn’t even like the boom franchise, even with the humor. Most of them most likely didn’t even watch the show, thinking it was a lame tie in for the game. Tbh, Sonic X is a better Sonic show, but Boom is better as it’s own thing. I thought X was better for having a story, but then I got more critical and start noticing it’s flaws. Boom my be a comedy, but it’s better written to be honest. Most people who say X is the best do it mainly because it got them into the series. That’s as someone who loved it the most back then. Yes the Sonic series needs to find it’s self respect, But if you think it’s because of the Twitter account’s admittedly stupid, but harmless jokes, Or the boom TV show which isn’t even made by Sonic Team for trying to literally be a COMEDY, and not the fact Sega have made so many bad Sonic games and terrible decisions since 2005, you need to get better priorities. Stop letting your Aaron Webber hate boner blind you from your own self awareness.

@@inkchariot6147 If I owned Sonic I would continue with Sonic Rangers and then I would make the team remake Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 then make Sonic Adventure 3 an open world game. Sonic has the spindash gameplay, Tails flies in his tornado and battles robotic bosses, Knuckles and Shadow have the best em up stages. I would make Blaze have shooting stages and Silver has the puzzle solving stages. It would have an epic story. I would make the sequel to Sonic Rangers have Sonic boosting, Tails uses the tornado,Knuckles has beat em up stages and Shadow has beat em up stages and every game I would switch out a character or two. I would make the games consistent and fun. I wouldn’t make them have gimmicks that are too gimmicky.
