From what I understand, all of this, including the other playable characters, was supposed to be playable from the start, but, due to time constraints, they had to release the game without them. Thankfully, the base game we got was just good enough that they could get away with it. That inizuka guy, or whatever that producer’s name is, worked genuine magic here.

@@atre5763 Nah, dude means well, his gripes with the game are almost exactly the same as reviewers; he wanted a deeper combat system, he wanted a fleshed-out Supreme fight, he doesn't like how garish the obstacle courses look in the open environment. For the most part, his personal opinions seem largely inline with player feedback. IMO It's SEGA Corporate you should be nervous about.

Giving Kishimoto more free range as a director is the best thing that has happened to this series in over a decade bc, had Sega stopped fucking around sooner, we would've had the Super Sonic titan fights way back in Lost World as Kishimoto originally wanted but Sega kept fucking shit up with their deadlines and their "appeal to Nintendo fans" crap. I'm very happy that Kishimoto and Sonic Team finally got to make the game THEY wanted to make and that it turned out so insanely successful.

Spindash =/= rolling. Especially considering the spindash is similar to the one in Sonic Lost world, and it's using the boost gauge. So it's more of a spin boost.

These updates genuinely take the game from a 7/10 to a 9/10. Game-feel is drastically different with the new deceleration and jump boost settings, and it's WAY more fun to just mess around with island traversal now. Not to mention the improvements to Cyberspace movement! I'd seriously suggest rebalancing the 'Hard Mode' default settings to account for this, because there's no way anybody outside of Easy Mode will want their momentum to grind to a halt when jumping. (Bonus points for not patching out the Homing Dash, and instead turning it into a feature. Big CHAD energy from the devs on that one)

@@DarkStallion101 When you do a turbo right after doing an homing attack, Sonic boost in the air in high speed. It was not an intended behaviours by the dev, but they kept it instead of correcting it. It demands a little to be used to do it properly.

Here's my opinion about Sonic Frontiers: "Question: Why do I HATE Sonic Frontiers? 🤔 Answer: Sonic Frontiers is a recently released game with its issues, but I'm NOT a fan of the game and would NOT highly recommend it to gamers. The game's open world zone design is surprisingly considered as being bland and terrible, becoming lazy and tedious, the action always feels repetitious, lazy, boring and the challenge level is so horrible. Question: Why do I consider Sonic Frontiers the worst 3D Sonic game? Answer: In my opinion Sonic Frontiers is considered as THE WORST 3D SONIC GAME ever made, in the same essence as most people hating Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, but I WILL ALWAYS LIKE GAMES LIKE: Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut (which I call Sonic Adventure Deluxe) Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Sonic Forces, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, etc, because they meet my criteria for a good Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Question: What are your criteria for a good Sonic the Hedgehog game? Answer: The criteria I use to determine a good Sonic the Hedgehog game are the following: 1. Bad reviews 2. Rushed development (like we saw with Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 or the GBA port of the 16-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog) 3. Glitches (which I find funny and laugh at them in a comedic tone) 4. Controversial moments (i.e. Sonic getting kissed by Princess Elise III in Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, i.e. to become Super Sonic after he revives when being kissed by Princess Elise III) Question: What are the things you hate the most in Sonic Frontiers? Answer: The things are ones that I HATE THE MOST in Sonic Frontiers include the following: 1. New characters introduced in this game such as: 1. Sage 2. Wyvern 3. Knight, Supreme 4. The End 5. Giganto 6. The Koco 2. New locations introduced in this game such as: 1. Starfall Islands 2. Krono Island 3. Ares Island 4. Chaos Island 5. Rhea Islands 6. Ouranos Islands. Question: Why do I critize Sonic Frontiers with negative reviews? Answer: Besides, the game is often criticized with mostly positive reviews, and I wish it never existed except for the models, sound effects (i.e.., voice clips), music, textures (a 2D image used in a 3D model by mapping the image on the model's UV), and UI (user interface). But I only like these game's assets when not used in Sonic Frontiers, except for Sonic's model because of his short and trimmed quills. Question: What is your favorite Sonic design? Answer: My favorite Sonic design is his design from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, known for being a lankier and edgier design. This Sonic design also has my favorite length of his quills, in this design his quills are extremely long, which is the longest length they ever had in his 32 years of existence. Question: If you could rate Sonic Frontiers, what rating would you give it? Even after the Birthday Bash update was released for Sonic Frontiers in June 23, 2023 for Sonic's thirty-second anniversary, my opinion about the game hadn't changed yet and it never will. Whoever decided to create Sonic Frontiers should be fired today from SEGA’S Headquarters and have a death sentence when arrested for creating this terrible, absurd, ugly, silly, stupid, and ridiculous monstrosity in the first place. Question: In my opinion, why did Sonic Frontiers ruin all of Sonic’s potential? Answer: In my opinion, Sonic Frontiers has ruined all of Sonic’s potential so much that SEGA should now remove it digitally and from retail stores such as retail stores such as: Walmart and Target, and digital shops like: Nintendo’s eShop. The game is so ugly that I don’t like it, due to it annoying me to buy it at any time. Question: Do I dislike other games because they also annoy me in a similar manner? Answer: Yes, this also happens to me with other games, such as the following: 1. All Pokémon games except for Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! 2. All Legend of Zelda games except for Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword 3. Splatoon 2 & 3 4. Kirby and the Forgotten Land 5. Stumble Guys 6. ALL FNAF GAMES EXCEPT FOR FNAF 1 AND SECURITY BREACH 7. Super Mario 64 (I prefer Super Mario 64 DS over the original version) 8. Sonic Mania Plus (I prefer Sonic Mania without the Sonic Mania Plus DLC) 9. and much more… Question: Why is Sonic Frontiers my least favorite Sonic game? Answer: Sonic Frontiers is my LEAST FAVORITE Sonic game for those reasons. NO EXCEPTIONS. PERIOD. SEGA, PLEASE SEND THIS GAME TO THE DIGITAL WOODCHOPPER, because I HATE IT SO MUCH. In case you're wondering, the "certain conditions" for unlocking the Spin Dash involve getting an S-Rank on all of the Action Chain Challenges. And it is ABSOLUTELY BUSTED. Even makes the New Game+ early game a BREEZE.

To 100% each island, you need: 100% Map 100% Friends 100% Sage 100% Cyberspace 100% Fishing Completion 100% Action Chain Challenges 100% New Koco And yes, 100% Memory Tokens, unfortunately. Strangely, not the Sound Memories (hopefully that means we'll get more in Update 3) Luckily, I JUST got mine out of the way today (on my Switch, anyway, because unfortunately my DualSense needs to be replaced, so I couldn't play my PS5 save file where I already have all S Ranks on Battle Rush Mode and Cyberspace Challenge Mode) and got a Spiffy new costume called Frontier Elite, which I don't want to spoil, so if you want to know what it's like, look it up!

Little trick I found, there’s a way to easily change direction on rails. Set your camera behind sonic, the hit the attack and jump buttons at the same time (I’m on the switch so it would be Y+B) he will do a quick stomp and start grinding the opposite direction.

I'm thinking Update 3 will focus on music from stages that featured Amy Rose, Knuckles, and Tails, since all the songs in Update 1 were from Sonic Levels TMK. For instance, Aqua Road is a great track in Forces, but I would've loved to get Fading Sun, but alas that's an Avatar Stage. We also didn't get E.G.G.M.A.N. because that's from an Eggman Stage, Unknown from M.E. because that's Knuckles, All Hail Shadow because Shadow's theme, Infinite's theme because Infinite's Theme, Dreams of an Absolution because Silver (someone wanna explain to me why in a Game titled "Sonic the Hedgehog", sharing it's title with the very first game, where Green Hill Zone's melody comes from, and was VERY much Sonic's World 1-1, that the character theme with the melody of Green Hill Zone goes to the brand new character, and NOT Sonic?)

I stopped playing Frontiers mainly because the lack of momentum was frustrating and unintuitive, and mods didn't quite do the job. So glad you've added momentum back in. Thank you. Hoping the next game will have momentum and the perfect balance of movement stats locked and mandatory so it's all one holistic experience. Anyway, I'll definitely be finishing the game now 💪

I love the new physics. Took me a while to find the perfect setting for me but now the gameplay is more fun, specially in the open zones. Jumpinb carries momentum instead of killing it. Cyberspace feels less precise, but has more high risk/high reward opportunities depending on the deceleration settings, which requires more skilled play.

The Spin Dash is an absolute blast to use, but it’s really dumb that it doesn’t transfer between save files without NG+, especially with all the effort you need to go through to unlock it. I’d like to keep it, but not have my maxed out stats, especially since it can still be used in Arcade Mode. An patch to change that would make this the perfect update.

I recently got the S-rank for 1-2, the secret is to take the lowest part for the first part of the level which is a violation of the cosmological laws of sonic because it's always the top path that is the fastest, but 1-2 defies that.

"You can now maintain Boost while jumping". As a Mach Rush enthusiast who was often thrown off by the boost's previous behaviour, this change seems tailor-made for me. Much obliged. Now if only boosting headlong into surfaces created a shockwave and/or vacuum effect...
