The rod and reel both look good. I currently use the Insurgent rods and Xtractor rods, so I am sure these will be great. The price seems reasonable aswell and look higher end than the current xtractors. I can see these being a big sellers. Especially as when you did the retractable rod tests. The Insurgents came first and xtractors were in second place 👍👍👍

Can’t comment on the new stuff but I wanted a rod that went to 4ft so got red Nash dwarfs with fox fx9, not my cup of tea so now bought 12ft insurgents with 14000 xtds, amazing. They’re better then my gt4s and horizons, feel lighter and tip stops much faster, think I’ll be having a long needed clear out now. Looking forward to having a hold of the new insurgents, price on 12ft will be?

Insurgents can be picked up for £50 or even less in some places now, better off buying them.

Have you got proof of that? Because the insurgents in 10' are pretty much impossible to buy at the moment, and I did wonder why Sonik have launched effectively 2 competing products with the 10' Xtractor Pro and the 10' Insurgent

Don't worry, I found the info myself... And yeah, sounds identical spec --- The blanks of the Insurgents are made from high-modulus Toray carbon with a lite-ply 1k armoured weave throughout. The tip section of each of the five rods in the range has a multidirectional carbon lay up to prevent twisting in the blank during casting and therefore improve your distance and, crucially, your accuracy. --- Xtractor Pro: High modulus Toray carbon blank Lite ply 1K armored carbon fabric throughout Multi-directional top section carbon lay-up Super light M-SERIES DL black guides with anti-frap tip 50mm guide cartridge on 3.25 lb and above models (40mm lower) 18mm black DPS reel seat Slim Japanese shrink rubber handle --- Cheers, I'll get the Xtractor pro then as they're easier to find in 10' cork 3.25TC

Got the GS extractors 5000 qaulity is ok I thought they would have been better.Pro reels look better quality.

I have the Insurgent 10ft 3.25lbs test curve and I cast with them over 200ft with no problems. These are very nice rods.

I have just checked the spec of the Insurgents and the new Pro xtractors. They are exactly the same, carbon, rings, reel seat etc.., just cosmetically slightly different. Same quality but at a lower price range RRP than Insurgents were.

This is what the Xtractor rod and reel should have been to start. Sonik needs to stop focusing on the low price. And focus on bang for the buck. That’s how to get a cult following.

Dont know about PRO versions but Do not buy REELS Xtractor 5000 GS GOLDEN !!! Just sended mines back to shop, the spools are woobly, looked like they forgot some Bearings in the spools them selfs - DO NOT BUY !
