Truth is, I could watch barn cleaning everyday if that’s what’s happening today. Or feeding, or raking hay, or whatever. For someone like me that grew up in farming, but is physically disabled now, the “day in the life” farm chore videos are my favorite. They are cathartic for me in a weird way. It allows me to be apart of things again. Thank you guys!!

Juandre Judeel You've worked hard and studied long to be a Lawyer Stick with it !!!! Search your local Internet see if there are livestock farms who allow you you assist or pay to help " hands on " so to speak I can assure you these 3 Gentlemen and their Boss Ellie work a damned sight harder in the unvideod hours of the day I have been involved with livestock for 40 yrs in Scotland We don't have ranches here And I'm scratching my head to think of anyone I know so dedicated to their Livestock as those at SONNE FARMS Regards Brian Dawson Edinburgh Scotland 😎

I was raised on a small farm. Left and went on to retire from two jobs. During my last job, I knew I was going to move back to the area I was raised, so I bought an 85 acres farm. Started letting a childhood friend farm the 40 acres that was open. Then, I decided to put some cattle on it. I fenced it in. Bought six heifer calves. The next year, got me a bull. Took a couple years, but now they are producing. I raise the calves up and private party sell them. They get a little bit better price and I don’t have to pay a sell barn. With the money I had made from them, had been able to build an barn with a small silo. I am able to buy feeder corn and hay from some neighbors and store in the silo for winter feed. I need to add some other minerals with the corn. Since I am not farming the land anymore, I made it CRP land with the conservation department. I like the small farming. It keeps me busy and a little money at the end of the year.

Sometimes it’s the little things that I like and admire. Brian and Cole putting the panel on the old garage and when Cole slips Brian instinctively put his hand at his shoulder to help him from more slipping until the panel is finished. Fatherly love and maybe thinking about that bad knee. You can see the care and bond the two of them have.

We had a backward calf and we pulled and tugged till the cow and us were tired. So we were told to haul the cow to the vet as we figured the calf was dead and the cow needed help from the vet. When the calf came it was a huge bull calf and it was alive. The vet said what a nice calf. Tell your dad it was dead and take it over to the sale barn. So there is some humor in farming along with the never ending hard work. Calling is a part of your operation and you two do it so good. Thanks again for a great video.
