Had a Fence-work Friday turn into a Sunrise Saturday. Got it wrapped up and was watching the vid in the truck during lunch. Apparently I took an unplanned nap at 6:40 due to the relaxing music, woke up to 16:06 with the worst anxiety! Thought a gate got pushed open! 😂 CAN'T hear the girlfriend on the other side of the room, or so I'm told...CAN hear a gate open half a mile away! Stay Sunny, Sonne's! 🇺🇸🐮💪❤️

I love the videos you make Cole. Keep them coming! I can't get enough of your videos! I really enjoy watching channels where families work together and yours is my favorite! Other channels might share basic information but your videos are so funny! You guys clearly have fun working together. It's important for families to stick together, especially these days. There is something very valuable about the "wisdom of the white hair". There's so much knowledge we gain as we grow older. Brian is obviously a smart man to keep his ranch going for so long... and he's definitely a proud Dad. I love his dad jokes! Can't wait for the next video!

We cut and bale hay all summer right up to frost. Everyday from sun up until sun down. I like your equipment. My big brother has been doing it yearly since he was born almost. Man we cut and bale a lot of hay. We cut wheat, Rye ,and oat hay first, then burmuda and some hay grazer. Blue stem and even crab grass and anything else someone has. We cut some beat-all blue stem 70 acres that made over 500 round bale. They added those microbes and it really grew. We still have 1,000 bales to haul for a Rancher that leases land and the guy he leases off of makes him buy all of his hay. So we hired out to haul it. I like that round bale hauler the demonstrator. Nice. We use a 14 bale hauler that you slide all the bales forward and we dump them all at the same time. And we use flatbed goose neck like you guys do. We use John Deere tractors balers and swathers. We also use other brands too. In five years the tractors and equipment is flat dab wore out. lol

Shout out to Saskatoon, home of Saskdutchkid! Hello from Saskatchewan everyone. I could see the hay raker used for staging. Picking up all the bales in the field and leaving them in double rows for the tractor with double forks to load and haul to the yard. If hauling any distance 7 bales probably wouldn’t cut it. You should have timed one of your loads to one of your dad’s hauling the same amount as him. Interesting video though. We have had 2 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. No haying here.

Hay hay hay family Sonne!! I hope you had a great birthday Brian and Cole was suitably generous to you. I love the hay hiker, what a great bit of kit. The way the bales unload onto the floor is very satisfying. When you picked up the bale and it didnt fall on right reminded me of wrapping silage bales, if you had a mis-shapen one they would do that and end up jammed half on and half off, or they would spin off halfway through being wrapped. I thought your camera would be a goner inside the muckspreader Cole, I was dreading a stone to flick up off the beaters and wipe it out. Thanks for another great episode of Sonne farms!! Stay safe all and god bless. Dave.

And that (Brian) is why it’s nice to have one old International around. When I can’t stomach the thought of changing another PTO shaft I go to the tractor that always has both at the ready. And the most annoying cab doors on the face of the planet. And shift levers you can trip over anytime you please. And only two hydraulic remotes. But other than that she’s mint.

I hope your lip is okay Cole. Tell your dad I said it's okay to take the rest of the day off. If you hold a cold can of beer on your lip it will help with the swelling. What you have to do is, hold it on there for about 3 or 4 minutes. After that you drink the beer because you don't want it to get warm. Repeat as necessary until the pain subsides. Don't worry about day drinking, first of all because it's medicinal and second, like the song says, it's 5:00 somewhere. ( trust me, I'm related to a doctor )

This was an amazing video watching you guys pick up that hay from the field… The aerial shots were magnificent!! Truly enjoyed watching the tractors turn in opposite circles to go pick up the next bail and it look like you guys are having a little fun out there once in a while… At least I hoped you were. That new piece of equipment you used definitely made things go a lot faster… Only you guys come let us know just how much difference it made. It was wonderful seeing a father and son enjoy farming together because there’s so many stories about fathers and sons who are angry at each other and by the time the sun hits 16 to 18 years of age he’s threatening to leave and doesn’t want to have anything to do with his dad or the farm so, I think you guys are an exemplary Case of how it can be between Father and Son on the Farm♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I stumbled across y'all about 5 months ago, (March 2021), so I'm loving going back n watching old videos. 👍 A couple of days ago I watched the latest video, (26th August 2021), of the 3rd cutting, raking n bailing n commented how my slight OCD had me loving it as it makes the farms look neat n tidy. Now I have to say I'm loving the scoop 'em up on the fly bail collector SO70(?) of this July 2020 video. Loving it I tell you! 😁💙 Then cried when you spread the manure n made it all messy. So much so that I had to get my vacuum out n tidy up already clean timber floors just to settle my OCD. LOL! 😄 Are you going to be using/demo the vacuum bailer picker-upper again this year? Love your work Cole, Brian, Jeff n Ellie. And I'd love to see more of Mrs Brian too, where are you Tammy?! ! 💙🙏

We have one of those and they work pretty good. Minus points if you don't line up to the bale right, it won't load and the cylinder that works to load the bale is quite low and if in an imperfect field, it will gouge the field or get packed with dirt. Otherwise it beats a loader and trailer every time.

Dry manure?? Too much bedding. Bedding in winter but not in summer. The cattle get too hot in summer the way it is. Unless it's bedding for calves... then yes. New sub here from NW Iowa. Perhaps I shouldn't be too critical of the grasslands farmers as my area is mostly corn, soybeans and of course, oats and dairy farmers must have, alfalfa. I've been to Mt. Vernon only a couple of times, once for gas as I was running low on I-90 and the other to buy some old, dusty motorcycles. What I remember most is the flat land and grass as far as the eye can see. A lot different only 132 miles away. Praying for rain in conditions worse than last year both here and your area. BTW, would you happen to know of anyone in the area with old cycles long forgotten in the shed? Brand doesn't matter except no Chinese crap. 1985 and older.

looks like a sweet machine, i think i would look at the 14 if you had bigger farms like yours or if you got the 7 i would be inclined to run it just in the field not field to storage. I reckon if you took that out to the field an hour or so before the tractor trailers you could work up a field edge working towards far end of the fields, then clear from the back of the fields bring all the bails back to the entrance where the tractor trailers collect and run them back to storage, granted some will say its double handling i get that, but i think you could get enough bails back where the tractors wouldnt need to run all over the field to collect you could do the collecting they do just the pick up and storing which would speed it up , if the weather is looking to be bad and you needed to move super fast so as to save bails from getting spoiled it would pay for itself in the long run. If you got one unit running across the field collecting it would save on fuel and the ground would get less compaction over all which would help with drainage, im thinking how your fields are prone to getting water logged, i maybe over thinking things here but i think both 7 and 14 could serve a purpose on your farm, 14 if you wanted to stick to standard way, 7 could serve a purpose if used like above. Looks like a good bit of kit either way

Thanks so much for sharing the video. I am impressed with the hay hiker. As many bales as y'all have to move, investing in the 14 bale hiker would be very helpful.

Cole, this was just a very, very good video! You did a good job of the demo of the Hay Hiker and you will just get better with demos as you go. The manufacturer, distributor, and your contact would like to see their names on the screen - that's understandable and will draw you more offers. You will get lots more offers to demo equipment and implements, and if you associate with 5 or 6 manufacturers/distributors/ag companies like seed and chemical suppliers, they can keep you very busy at the farm shows in the offseason. That is very lucrative and allows opportunities for collaborations with other KZbinrs which is the very best way to grow your channel. Keep up the good work. You are on your way!
