Exactly the same thing happened to me after I decided to take off my wedding band! I have to add, that your poems, Taylor, are therapeutic to listen to. So many parallels... almost eerie. Thanks for your work. Keep it up.

Thanks, as always, for sharing your art Taylor. You have a way of choosing those couple lines that really pierce the heart.

This is awesome I had a promise ring from my ex that I wore, we broke up almost four months ago and still I will see its gone and almost go into a panic that I lost it

SONNET ON MY WEDDING RING AND OTHER THINGS I THINK I’VE LOST The body forgets at a different pace than does the mind. Washing my hands, splashing cold water on my face, I’m suddenly jolted when memory demands to know what’s happened to my wedding ring, which is indeed missing from my finger. I close my eyes and try to bring to mind the band, stumble, then linger on this fact I’d not remembered: it is late October and I’m not married anymore; I’ve been divorced since mid-September and haven’t worn the ring for three months. Maybe four. I don’t think I miss the ring-or even you- but my fingers and my hands? Apparently they do.
