Milk glass is really coming back, too. My gram had milk glass doorknobs and lantern shades, some dishware, too. I loved the vignette.Two other colors that were big are ochre yellow and rusty barn red. Another vignette is a paint or stain washed pie chest with a painted handle rolling pin, stamped ceramic pie pan, crockery flour bin and tarnished bread pans. Add some well washed gingham covered lids on Ball jars and flour sack towels.

When i,got married in 1974 my whole house was blue. (except the green countertops in military housing) My hubby's grandma and mother were artists and lots of their paintings were of flowers that look like your prints. I have several in my bedroom . I'm always searching on the net for his grandmas paintings. I found 3 on ebay. I love the colors of the flowers. I don't care for just black and white. My house Spanish style so I only do this style in my bedroom and bathroom. The painted frames are beautiful . I think it makes them look more expensive.

So funny it being called Cottage Core,my 24 year old daughter calls it,The Great Depression Era 2.0 She grows all her own food,cans her food she harvests,dries her herbs she grows ,makes all her own cleaning products,and body products,and even does her own milk paints, just everything you can decorate,utilize in decor with outside,you pretty much bring it on the inside, bird nest,flour sack dresses,hemp rope,florals,florals,florals.....I love she is like this,never has been up with the fads and what everyone her age does,wears,the styles and now she is raising her only child,my grandson the same way,and he has the greatest imagination ever,no wanting to play on tablets,with phones,computers etc just his good ole imagination,utilizes everything as a Toy.... and he absolutely loves every fruit and vegetable,and every food he eats too....I call her a little modern day hippie but Thank you for helping me understand as well what the heck Cottage Core is,love all your projects too,I just found you this week,and you are a Favorite!! Love what you did today. The pictures turned out wonderful. The Scherwin Williams paint that you use, do you add anything to it to get the flat, Chalk appearance? Just wondering. I've used Wagners chalk powder in a lot of different latex paints, and had wonderful results. Was wondering if you do something similar or if you make your own. Thank you.

Everything looks great...I like to distress jars with the "wet sand" method..it won't show the sanding scuffs marks when using the wet cloth to distress... I'm in NC and the darker blue hues and greys are popular here. Of course we do get visitors from different States 🥰 which are very welcomed so try to mix it up a bit 😉 Great video... will be back for more 👏👏

I think cottage core is more not flipping anything, you buy the antique as is and leave it. I dont see many people with cottage core theme that flipped anything or painted it, this seems more farmhouse to me and shabby chic than cottage core. If that platter was Ironstone and you stamped it, someone watching probably fell right outta there chair lol. Everything looks wonderful though!
