@norfolknwhey47872 жыл бұрын
@@pharaohsmagician8329 I have one for you... find a harp you like, and stick with it. Don’t fall for the trap of endlessly searching for a better model or brand. I myself prefer abs combs over wood, they are much more comfortable and last longer before needing to be replaced. Take some time and learn how to adjust the reed gapping, as the main reason most folks quit is because they have trouble with bends or the 2 and 3 draws.
@calebtrotter35392 жыл бұрын
haha funny to come across this comment my plan to quit smoking is to pick this up finally. figured if I practice every time I want to smoke I'll get 2 hours a day in. I've been a drummer for years but always wanted to learn.
@norfolknwhey47872 жыл бұрын
@@calebtrotter3539 I successfully quit after almost 20 years in February. It is absolutely possible, just make your mind up to be a non-smoker. I also picked up a few Kongsheng Baby Fat harmonicas to add to the collection so I can always keep one in my pocket. Helps big time!

A true master of harmonica. It takes a long time to master. It is not an easy instrument to play. It is at best a backup instrument. But played by itself it is amazing. If you feel blue or depressed learn to play it. It will help you heal.
@DiegosDeligt5 жыл бұрын
Im following your advice, haven't felt so drawn by an instrument in years...
@Blue_3rd5 жыл бұрын
Diego Sanchez Nice to hear! Once you learn to play harmonica, particularly blues, you realise it is much more than a “backup instrument” :) Listen to all the old masters, also the more contemporary such as Gary Primich, Kim Wilson and William Clarke. Check out the hundreds of free KZbin lessons by Adam Gussow, Ronnie Shellist, Jason Ricci and Tomlin Leckie. If you are not hooked after that, you never will be :) Buy a harmonica and get addicted. Good luck!
@Blue_3rd5 жыл бұрын
Hoodoo Man The harmonica may be many things, but it is certainly not “at best a backup instrument”. It is one of the corner stones of the blues and has been a lead, rhythm and solo instrument since the beginning. All the best!

@@DiegosDeligt I can recommend looking up in what key you can play cross harp. www.harmonica.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/keys.png Then look up a blues backing track in that key and try jamming along. It really sounds amazing to just trying to improvise. Best feeling yet!

Least we Forget... The 1st thought came into my mind while listening to this was my Grandmother's stories she use to share with me ............. One of the most profound stories was : The red stripes on the American flag represented the blood that use to run down their faces after getting beat by the police , ....... The stars was what they seen when they got hit in their head with the sticks........ and the white part was the obvious : She said don't ever give allegiance to a flag that ( HATE ) you , give allegiance to " THE MOST HIGH GOD " who will deliver you from the hand of your enemy and land of captivity ./ but the Lord laughs them to scorn And they shall afterward become dishonored corpses and an unceasing mockery among the dead,. For he shall strike them down speechless and prostrate and rock them to their foundations; They shall be utterly laid waste and shall be in grief and their memory shall perish.
