ONLY because Lily was pregnant! If she wasn’t pregnant Jax would NOT even be in the equation. Jax was no better than Lily. Sonny turned to Lily to avoid prison and Brenda turned to Jax because Sonny was going to actually give his child a life he NEVER had. Love love Sonny/Brenda and always disliked Lily. But he did what a man should do and take responsibility!! Jax lowered himself knowing Brenda was in love with Sonny. But Jax did give Brenda security and made her feel safe. Being with Jax helped her relationship grow stronger with Sonny in the end. As well as Lily did for Sonny. There are pros and cons to this storyline but this truly made the love between Sonny/Brenda magical and REAL! It was never a use and abuse relationship like he started with Carly! Best GH couple EVER

It’s funny 23 years ago all I could see was Sonny and Brenda, I couldn’t stand all the decoys like Jax , Miguel and Lily, but now that I watched it 23 years later I couldn’t wait for Jax to jump in and I loved Miguel this time around! Lily and Sonny I had to Fast Forward most of their scenes! Lily had No chemistry with Sonny her lines were boring it makes me wonder if they did that on purpose!

I"ve seen this scene, but it was a long time ago. So, Jax expected her to just forget Sonny and their love and just marry him the next day?? I'd forgotten he was so pushy. Jax is not even acting like a human being, here. I understand she was in a heck of a lot of pain after Sonny just left her on the docks and was devastated, but I'm not sure I would have agreed to 1. hop in bed with Jax right away and then 2. marry him so I could distract myself from the big loss I just had.

It's who Jax was, he saw something he wanted and went after it. Despite knowing each other only a short time, Jax and Brenda were pretty close friends. He believed he was the only man that could really make her happy, and marrying her eventually he knew she would fall for him as well. Eventually Brenda did come to love him. Didn't change the fact she still loved Sonny of course, but she and Jax did have good times together during their relationship over the years.

Because he wants her to Brenda marry him, thinking Sonny is happy with a baby and a wife. So Brax would stayed together and Brenda would have done EVERYTHING to make that marriage work. Jax would do anything, so she won't bounce. So it be fine because Lily and Sonny won't even wave to them. But now with no family, or wife Sonny is a free man, and has grief. He can tear down that marriage in less than a year. Brax didn't even make that long, before Brenda was on pills.

Sonny and Brenda were back together when this hoe Lily went to her daddy and made Sonny marry her as part of a deal to keep him out of prison and keep Brenda alive. Once Lily's dad knew Brenda was a threat to her daughter there was a mark on Brenda's back, hence that car that almost hit Brenda. Lily used the one power she always hated her dad had which was to hurt those who stood in her way. What Lily did devastated both Brenda and Sonny. Sonny just hid it better than Brenda, but he was heartbroken and it wasn't right of Lily to set things up the way she did.
