Woah...a lot of harsh comments about Lily lol. But I just want to take a moment to appreciate the absolute BRILLIANCE of this scene. Guza's best ever. Brenda had spent so much time struggling and bringing herself low for Sonny, and in one, single moment (the clink of those glasses)... Sonny lost everything...and Brenda gained it all. A true masterpiece of a scene and a true defining moment where the shifting of the fortunes was undeniable. And all in that one amazing, tragic second.

Sonny and Brenda went through such heartache just for LOVING one another! These 2 are actually obsessed with each other. Sonny said it in 2010 . Brenda suffered from Sonny marrying LIly and Sonny suffered from when Lily died and Brenda got married to Jax. They NEVER stopped loving one another. There were just too many obstacles that stood in there way of rekindling that magic between them. Where the writers got in 2010 that they tried 15 times to get back together was beyond me! Know your history of S/B before you rewrite! Now it’s truly payback time for Sonny. I can’t stand Jax! People say he’s better for Brenda, no he is not. He left her at the altar also in 2002 plus he offered her money when she leaves Port Charles. Sonny left Brenda at the altar because he loved her and wanted her to be safe. There was a hit out on his and Brenda’s life but he never told Brenda! Jax left her because of his jealousy towards Sonny. Even today no matter what fans say, even though Brenda is not there there will never be anything or anyone that could ever break the bond/love that Sonny and Brenda have for one another. Because that LOVE AND PASSION will NEVER truly die!

I actually missed the clink-boom episode when it first aired because I had to work, so I didn’t have a clue what had happened. I asked my friend “How’s LeeLee?” Her mom said, “Oh girl, she dead!” 😂 I said, “Yes! Now Sonny can get back with Brenda!” My friend said, “He can’t, she’s married!” I was like, “WHAT?!?!” I was heated! And shocked! 🤣🤣🤣

That's why they make a point of her saying I didn't call my father to tell him I'm not going to Puerto Rico she was supposed to be safely on her way home and it was supposed to be sonny. He never told her he loved her, but she died thinking it would happen one day. Of course this never would have happened if she hadn't been telling private marital details to her husbands employee, or if she had invited Harry to the celebration at Lukes, or if she just told her father on the phone, or if she hadn't forced Sonny to marry her in the first place!

As great as this was at the time it was the worst thing for Sonny and Brenda because this incident haunted Sonny the night before his wedding to Brenda, in turn, causing him to leave her alone at the altar. It would have been better if Lily miscarries at some point, Sonny kills her father, and she stays alive so she would see when Sonny leaves her for Brenda, with Sonny having a clear conscious. Thus Sonny and Brenda live happily ever after with him running the organization with her support.

As for your hate towards her, I didn't hate her.. maybe I didn't see all of the scenes with her in them. I do remember she sometimes seemed a little conniving. Maybe she was more conniving than I thought. I remember Sonny was going to marry Brenda til he learned at the last minute that Lily was pregnant with his baby. It hadn't occurred to me that she get pregnant on purpose to trap Sonny into a (loveless?) marriage. I remember that she even apologized to Sonny about it when she told him because she knew he still loved Brenda. I agree, Guza is a sicko. Probably a sociopath, too. Explains why he turned so many other characters into sickos later on in the show (like Carly and maybe Jason). I liked Sonny much better in his early years on GH, including his time with Brenda. I know he loved Brenda a lot, but I didn't always like the way he treated her.

The show always said lily was having a boy but here she says it's too early. I heard this secret was well kept that their was no announcement the actress was leaving. I always read spoliers from the mags & I stopped when I went away to college . Things actually surprised me. I wish promos didnt give too much away or big things should not be shown.
