To neetrab: I had sort of known about S&B from the soap mags. But, only started watching in late, '96,' after the, "Twist of Fate, " episode & got hooked! The chemistry between Maurice & Vanessa was awesome! Even though Mo left in, '97,' I never stopped wishing that one day the show would get them back together. I never really accepted Sonny /w/ anyone else. So, when Brenda came back, it was like a dream come true! I got hooked again. Esp. The beautiful wedding & reception.

Wow. I wish they could still write love scenes like this. I think the writing should be handed over to people who find relationships just as interesting as violence. Clips like this make me remember why I fell in love w/ GH.

I agree with you. When this storyline was going on, I hated being an S & B fan! I felt like everytime they were happy the next episode would be a horrible fight! Looking back on it now, I can understand their story so much better. Brenda and Sonny were eachother's first real, adult loves and they stuggled with all the fear, ugliness, & beauty that comes along with that.

Just my thoughts here, but Sonny had never cared for or loved a woman as intensely as Brenda. Like he says in the previous scene, He'd never been straighter meaning honest or forthright with any women ever. I think when he woke up and touched her in the morning it scared him to death. Because he wondered why a woman like Brenda with him at all & because he was afraid he or his lifestyle would screw up the relationship. Sonny is complicated but fascinating!

@sonnybrenda51 me too! such moments in life and screen are so rare. sonny's been paired with every other woman, but not equal their sparks. in fact, i credit vanessa marcil with making sonny's character likeable. he was loathed when he first came on, during the karen times. maurice even said in an interview he didn't receive much fan mail til his character was paired with vanessa marcil's. viva S&B!

@ghlusam - yea...well, they were still pretty much in the beginning stages of their relationship. When they slept together, they didn't know that they were really REALLY falling in love at this point. A lot of us S&B fans think they were both pretty scared of what they were feeling.

To neetrab: Also, I can't forget his scene's in the hospital, (when he was willing her to live.) They cheated death to be together! It was like Sonny was woken up & Mo as an actor. His connection /w/ Vanessa was better than ever. S&B really don't have to say alot in their scene's. It's all in the eyes, their smiles & body language. Sigh! I guess I'll have to settle for watching clips of them on here. (Note: I haven't watched since late 2011.)
