Bad ownership, bad management, bad coaches, overrated players = boring and losing baseball. This organization is the definition of mediocrity. We rely on bobble heads and nostalgia to reel fans in, and I am for one am tired of it. It's time to go full rebuild and yes it may hurt for a few more years but at this point it's necessary.

Why would someone want to see Crapenter bat .189 this season? Mo was hoping that nostalgia would kick in and fans would flock to Busch. "He was good for a season or two-maybe the old magic will strike once more?" thought Mo.

I may be 100 percent wrong but it seems to me that the Cardinals hitting philosophy has changed over the years. When Mabry and McGwire were hitting coaches they taught situational hitting and still hit home runs. Now they take the Joaquin Andujar approach . "Swing hard just in case you hit it" I may be off base but its not the same.

It’s easy to blame the coaches, but the organization decided to go with the home run and walk philosophy rather than putting the ball in play. Mike Schildt disagreed and it got him fired.

So, blame Gray and his downward trend ? For real ? There is 1 MLB team, has given up more runs than the White Sox. That's The Rockies . Sox at 15 - 48 have given up 338 runs this year, and Colorado 348 runs. All we can score is 2 . We have 61 million going to 2 of the biggest letdowns in Baseball . Arenado & Goldschmidt isn't ruining this team's morale. No , that's Marmol's baby , every day they're coming up in key situations and failing miserably all, but maybe once a week for each. I don't G.A.R.A. how much money they make. Donovan should be at 3rd , Carp at 1st , Arenado and Goldschmidt not in the line up. At least for 3 game or 4 games. Messages need to be sent in big bold print. If it's not on Marmol then it's on Mozeliak threatening him his job if he sits them. 60mil not producing more than a combined 6million is thoroughly disgusting and unacceptable. Don't blame pitching at all. This swing hard on every single swing , look lower half of the ball only led to Walker going back to AAA . Mozeliak should have been fired 3 yrs ago. That's B.Dewitt jr.'s baby.

@@brianr4214 Yes he will, he already did, BIG TIME, in Boston. His roster finished in last place, and he couldn't keep players signed and away from free agency. Traded away talent he should have paid to keep. (sounds like Mo, doesn't it?) Boston fired Bloom, and have since then quickly rebounded. They were in the hunt with Baltimore and NY, until a rash of injuries hit them last month. But Mo, again incapable of evaluating talent, gave Bloom a job anyway. Bloom is a "mini-me" of Mo. Nothing will change, unless someone like Pujols is brought in to fix things. Molina would be the right guy to run the Minor league program, not Bloom.

Donnie Noot when back in corners Edman when back can go to 2B.. Gorman can DH Contreras back behind the dish and grab another arm or two maybe Quintana reunion and they could make a serious run but these moves won’t be made

and you'll be wrong again .... Marmol won 90+ games and a Division crown when Mo gave him a roster with enough talent, and he will win again, as soon as Mo is fired -- or retires to avoid firing. (caveat, Mo's assistant is no better based on his record in Boston, so the DeWitt's must hire a true PBO -- and I recommend Pujols for the job) It's clear we are short one starter, and 2 relief pitchers, but Mo makes zero moves to address it. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have a surplus of pitchers to plug-and-play when injuries happen. Shildt was the brains of the Cardinal's farm system, and when Mo fired him, we have had nothing really since then.

RayRussell 1 of those cubbies like fans , guzzle that kool-aid Ray. Marmol motivates no one. I told ya before Shildt left 2 weeks after a 17 game win streak. Then has Pujols , and Yadi , and maybe Waino all looking toward retirement in their final year. Waino wasn't for certain. That how he won 90 games. Since then he's been an utter loser.
@rayrussell6258

@@brianr4214 You don't see reality then. Those guys were part of the roster I'm talking about. Mo did not replace them effectively, with a supporting cast of other talent, and that's why Marmol cannot maneuver during games now. The talent is not there. Sparky Anderson was the best situational Manager I ever saw, but when he stayed in Detroit too long out of loyalty, when ownership gave him no talent on the roster, even he could not win. Managers have to have talented rosters. No one can win with bad talent. You saw LaRussa leave the White Sox real fast when the club began breaking itself apart. He knew what was coming if he stayed ----- tons of losing last year and this one in Chicago. Marmol is supported in the clubhouse. That means there is good motivation coming from Marmol. lol, the big insult there was calling me a Cub fan! lol I've been a Cardinal's fan since Musial! Marmol will win, when the DeWitts hire a real PBO, to get talent back on the roster. I seriously believe players do not like or support Mo, and other teams will no longer make trades with him. He's worn out his welcome.

You know, JD, for once I have something positive to say. The city connect uniforms don't totally suck. The dog bone STL needs to be replaced by the logo patch with the arch, the fleur-de-lis, and the stl. The softball shirts with The Lou are near the top in baseball. For some reason, the city connect system looks like bad little league uniforms or some odd world league. Now as for our first to worst trip. Things will turn around as soon as we find out the nature of the Picasso masterpiece our management is working on. Smile, darn ya smile. It's only a game.

Last night The women's world series was on at the same time as the Cardinal game. Oklahoma and Texas put on a show. The Cardinals did not. My room is set up with two tv's, side by side, and the last week the women have been much more entertaining than the Birds. Your comments disgusts me regarding Herrera. I Watch catchers and two of Contreras throws were five feet toward first and Winn saved the throw with a excellent swipe tag. Herrera has to play, isn't he batting over ,300. Pages can catch but Herrera needs to be in the line up. You keep building up Grey but he lost me when he asked to come out of the game in the fifth inning. right now our number one pitcher is number three at best. I think it's time to trade Arenado and Goldie and put Gorman and Burleson at 3rd and first and move Donovan to 2nd. Trade them for pitching help and outfielders.

If this homestand is a bust (2/5 or 3/4) they will be sellers at the deadline. Then they have the cubs next weekend for 4 games. The cubs HAVE pitching and are ready for some revenge. If they lose that series I might get my life back by not hanging on every pitch. Maybe I can do something constructive with my time.

5 losses in a row ..got to win sometime. Cards outhit them right! + 1.42 not surprising ive seen to much of it. 1 for 7 with runners in scoring position is a byproduct of very poor calls at homeplate or the strikezone. Sorry JD have to disagree with you this time on this part. Nootbarr has the worst calls going against him out of all players. Remember missed calls when it should be 2balls 1strike your hitting avg are 300 or better. Instead its a ball1 strike 2 your hitting avg is in the +100's so yes a poor strike zone will take the bat out of our hitters. Its just facts and stats show it. Now fridays game wow! Lol what reverses!! With that strike zone..now the Rockies turn🤣finally calls going our way for Lynn but even for our hitters for a change got ahead in the count and were 4for4 a bunch of hits for the Cards. Rewatch the first game then game 2 it is a result of home plate umpiring makes all the difference and change a game totally. Btw game one had 3 homers if the walls were moved in a couple of feet and one robbed. Dont move our fences in though with our pitching staff. Good stuff JD⚾️🏆
