Keep Nado at DH in close game he can move to third to play defensive they can use him to mold Gorman defensively and Nado still proves very valuable if he hits 100 RBI from DH

Nootbar has been massively overrated. At one time, everyone wanted Noot..now, he's at best a 4th outfielder. analitics crap doesn't win games! Gorman has power but whiffs WAY too much! Walker was messed around with too much by the front office. Leave him ALONE and let him play! Burlison was the best hitter..that was a surprise.

Noot, Gorman and Walker suck. Donovan, Winn and Burly have the best potential. I liked Siani last year too.

I don't understand, if we are rebuilding, rebuild it right. Trade Helsley the Yankees would prob give some good prospect for a closer. And do Arenado a solid and find him a deal with a team he wants to go to

I've wondered the same thing about Noot. I love the guy and think he's talented but I really haven't seen anything that says he's going to be a major piece to help this team win and go deep in the post season. Then I imagine them trading him and then he explodes. As Yogi Berra said....Deja vu all over again.

I'd like to see how many 1,2,3 ninth innings Helsley had. Every time I watched, he'd walk a couple, have balls hit to the warning track, give up 1 or 2 runs but still get the save. Helsley, like the rest of the lineup, never instilled fear in anyone.

Helsley’s ERA was 2.05; so yes, he gave up some runs here and there.

Arenado appears to me , a guy to be seeking a free ride with a Champ ready team. Sorry Nolan, reality has it you and goldy were expected to make the Birds the champ ready team. 22 post season spells it out perfectly. If ya don't perform , ya don't win. It's very basic simple equations. Arenado is on a team that gets on base. How many times was Brendon stranded on base by Arenado through the 1st 75 games last season ? If it was 1 it was 60 at least but I'm guessing it was closer to a 100 than 60. Arenado , needs to play the game to at least appear to be trying to earn 32mil. And every time you fail miserably you should blame your agent for the need for greed.

Closers always have a tendency to make things exciting. Izzy was really good at making endings exciting. The other closers in baseball, we don't know because we don't see them every day.

Contrary to what you said, I find the new hires EXTREMELY exciting! The Cards are finally putting themselves in a position where they can actually help the kids develop to their full potential, and that excites me to no end. Can't WAIT to see if the farm just starts churning out star after star.

Too many acquistions of high ERA and injured pitchers in the offseason. Too many acquisitions of Mendoza level hitters in the offseason. The number 1 player who needs to improve is Nootbaar. Number 2 is Walker. Number 3 is Leahy.

Siani is another Harrison Bader…totally a trade piece in the right deal. Pages’ is the better of he and Herrera IMO, as he is a far superior defender. His bat can be improved a lot easier than getting Herrera up to Pages’ defensive level. So I’ll have to disagree with that part of your proposal.
