Great High School Memory! I can't believe I'm finally hearing this. In 1971, Conard High School in West hartford, CT did "Finian's Rainbow". Mr Lauer was surprised to see that there was a harmonica book in the orchestra parts. He heard that I played, so he gave the book to me and asked me to work up the written out piece that was notated in there to play alone while "Susan" did her big dance solo on stage (when she discovers the golden goblet?). I did my best, but I always wondered what Sonny Terry's original version sounded like. Good thing that KZbin wasn't around back then, because my (highly simplified) version was a far cry from his! LOL!
