The good years when music sounded good and they had a meaning to him. Now it says to me what my grandfather used to say back in these days bunch of mumbo-jumbo that's what you said new stuff sounds to me. The late 50s early 60s were the best. Seventies and eighties alright. 👍🏽🤟🏽👏🏽✌🏽❤😊🤟🏽🙋🏽‍♂️.

I grew up in Northern California around the Redwood. Hundred miles north of San Francisco. Along the Russian River. Threw up and singing to all these songs. 10 transistor radio listening say song in 1966 10 transistor radio. On the big 610 kfrc San Francisco. This is before FM. Damn good times.😞👍🏽🤘🏾🙋🏽‍♂️😊😎.

Great line up.. Lee Dorsey working in the coal mine the Left Banke, rarely heard of nowadays, I was 12 years old perfect age when the Beatles hit and in Stones went into Zeppelin after that and then guns and roses and Metallica in the 90s

Funny thing though; in 1966 I was at the very advanced age of 10 yrs old when I first heard this "Electric Prunes" song on the local AM-station, + have since heard it a good number of times over the years..... and until I saw the "printed title" of the song here, I had always thought that the song-title was, "I Had Too Much to DRINK Last Night?" And I'm wondereing now if perhaps, I was the ONLY idiot out there who thought the same?

I was 12 when it hit and I'm a fellow idiot. Often the fidelity of the recording and the poor speakers on our transistor radios garbled the lyrics. I though initially that "Hang On Sloopy" was "Hang On Stupid".

Hi Mario, thanks for sharing. Just out of curiosity, about how many songs are in your collection? A lot of times, even if I have a song already, your version sounds better. I realize you said these were not mixed, but for sure there are worse sounding versions out here anyway. Motown has such an extensive catalog, but they have not done much to update or remix any of it. I sometimes imagine what those old songs (Funk Bros) would sound like if they had the equipment available today, but hey, that's why we call them oldies, right? Thanks Again For Your Efforts!

I've amassed a huge collection of mostly stereo and stereo mixes over the years since digital music became available...most of the newer collections sound better than the original releases in my opinion but many people still like the original vinyl sound. I'll take a nice clean CD recording any day as long as it's the original. I guess I have around 20,000 songs...mostly hit songs and hard to find lost hits that I still like. Thank you for commenting and I'm always glad to hear from listeners like you.
