great sound.can I ask you how did you tune tom and floor tom please?do you tune bottom heads higher or lover like top heads?thanks a lot

Thank you, glad you liked the sound. I tend to tune floor toms at the lowest fundamental; top and bottom head similar pitch, both loose. Rack toms I tune the bottom head tighter (usually a third interval higher) with the top head looser. But how it feels is also important so just a matter of finding a happy medium.

Great sounding drums but 12" has too short sustain for my taste.

I could've worked it with more sustain if I wanted. It has to balance with the rest of the kit. I didn't have access to a big-shell kick that can resonate for days. The overall theme is punchy, low fundamental, warm tones. Hence when I played the groove, the sustain of the toms, the boom of the kick dictates the tempo. I always try to get the drums (at least the toms and snare) to sustain up to a quarter note length. Any more than that is just mush / mud.
