I agree when you say that Sonos lost big sales by not allowing us the user to control the front speaker with the ERA 300’s. I got the Era 300 preorder last year and returned them just as quick because in an Open Living Room concept it just doesn’t work. You will feel where ever you place that speaker in the open area of the living room just empty. Sonos you want us to spend $900 on your ERA allows us to choose how we use the speaker. Good video as always My current setup Ultra Arc / ERA 100’s / Sub Gen 4. Heads up I’m able to connect my Sub Gen 2 as my 2nd Sub but It’s an over kill. I will sell that Sub if possible $200 ( Sub Gen 2) ✌️

Thanks for watching, yeah thats a nice setup you have like i said earlier if Arc ultra is the firdt soundbar then you are pretty much set until next gen arrives. Yes exactly i dont get why Sonos did that but for an open living room its meh its ok but people make it sound like its the best surrounding speakers from Sonos which i dont agree with. Wait how? I thought that dual sub with Arc ultra would only allow sub gen 3 and sub gen 4 so you will need atleast one sub gen 3 to dual sub with arc ultra?

I thought dual subs with arc ultra was only possible with sub gen 3 and forward. I read that in so many forums and sonos community pages.

They tested it according Sonos and they got a wider sound stage with the centre speaker off. Saw that in a Q & A. Still feels strange if you pay for a speaker you just want all the bells and whistles.

Thanks for your videos! From what I hear from you there’s no wow effect from the new Arc Ultra compared to the old Arc. When I saw the release I was not impressed by it. Me I have the Arc, 2 sub gen 3, 2 five as surround speakers and I pair my two one and put them in front to help as center speaker and it’s nice. Like you I’m waiting for Sonos Five Era but don’t know if it will ever happened!!

All you have to do is flip the fives facing four on four to the ceiling and you got Dolby Atmos!👍

Thanks for watching, haha yes sorry but for me i dont think its and upgrade if you feel like your Arc is not satisfying your atmos experience and sound quality then i would try the Arc ultra. Because for me its pretty much the same soundbar. Better speech and dialogue yeah but i watch movies and tv shows at high volume so for me thats no issue at all. Try it out and compare thats the only way you will know if its an upgrade or not

would you recommend having the ERA 100's as rears for the ARC ULTRA ? and the Mini Sub ? I ordered the BEAM 2 + Mini Sub + ERA 100's if the Beam does not meet my expectations i will get the ARC ULTRA the room is a man cave thats about 12 x 12 feet with a 7.5 foot ceiling your thoughts ?

Thanks for watching, yeah i think the Era100s are good surround speakers but i think they might be a little weak for arc ultra. They will sound awesome with beam 2 and sub mini for sure. The room you are describing is pretty much the same size as mine. Mine is 4.5 meters X 4.5 meters so not much in size difference there. i would allways recommend to buy the flagships from Sonos which now is Arc ultra or even the old Arc for a good discount. But since we have medium size rooms i would say beam 2 will definitley do its job there. Try your setup out and get back to me what your thoughts are!

Thanks for watching, i have read online on different sonos community pages that sub gen 2 is only working with arc ultra as single sub. For dual sub you need atleast a sub gen 3 or sub gen 4

Thanks for watching, im using my apple tv for movies and tv shows. I dont use my ps5 for movies at all, i think the sound is better from apple tv. I will buy a 4K player in the future i heard that the sound is way better with a 4K player. What are you using my friend?

@@thisishazno8536 I just started using my ps5 and the sound is almost double for me. If I’m at 40 while watching on Apple TV I’m at 20-25 while using ps5 and a movie on a disc. Dune 2 on UHD disc at volume 40 is nuts.

Thanks for watching, if you like dual subs then going back to only one sub is gonna make a difference. Its all what you prefer better speech and dialogue or what you have today arc+era300s+dual subs. That setup is pretty solid until next gen of Arc comes and era500s. Your sub gen 2 is probably the one thing in youre setup that you will have to change in the future.

The v1 Arc had two physical upward firing speakers. The Arc Ultra has two physical upward firing speakers and two virtual upward firing (the Beam Gen 2 uses this effect for virtual Atmos) . The full Atmos effect might change in a room since Sonos side/overhead Atmos effect depends on walls/ceilings bounce to work.

Too bad Sonos doesn't make a product like the Sony HT A9 or Theater 9 with their excellent Sonos Five speaker which goes very low in the bass (23Hz at -6dB) or 4 - 5 (2 front / 2 rear or 3 front / 2 rear) Sonos era 300, the soundstage would be even wider and without a subwoofer

@@thisishazno8536 No since the Sony ht-g700, and after having tried quite a few other brands and references like Denon DTH-S517 (very good given its price), Bose smart 600 (not bad but too much treble) Hisense U3120g (not precise enough), the Sony has sibilance in its high frequencies above 10khz. Here I am with the Ambeo Plus coupled with 2 wired subwoofers referenced Q Acoustics 3060s and it's pure joy, especially with its Dolby Virtualizer mode in the Dolby codec adjustment app section, it's a very dynamic and precise surround mode even going very far behind without surround satellite. This mode keeps the Atmos soundtrack! what happiness! but sonos and samsung are also very good in this market. Denon surprised me with its little DHT-S517 pack, a frequency response curve of formidable precision, a clear, punchy and non-aggressive sound on the treble like Sony.
