Putting the Sonos Move against the Play 5, will it keep up with the flagship speaker from Sonos?

Play 5 sounds a lot better but the move is WAY more versatile and still smokes the apple device. I have both and they solve different needs. I would buy all moves if I could do it all over again. Actually the ones are still the best bang for the $

I just purchased the move for the Black Friday price. It was on back order and I finally received it. After educating myself on the different Sonos speaker options, I wish I would have purchased the Five. Maybe next year if it’s at the Black Friday price. I suppose I can always use the move in the basement later and also have it for the versatility. Do you think the move is a good choice?

@@dinkc925 no return it and get 2 5’s for stereo. Stereo sounds way better than mono. It’s pretty much sounds like a cheap goodwill speaker until you use in stereo. Mono is terrible

You are paying extra for battery, charger, larger driver, new designed internals for portable unit, auto trueplay, shock resistance, water resistance. The one has none of these so personally think that 200 covers that.

To be honest, I would pay the extra 100 euros and buy the play 5. The sound is much fuller and deeper. This just shows how good the play 5 is now, better even though it is regarded as an older speaker. Also, I think there is only so much you can do with the Sonos move's(also overpriced in my opinion) form factor. I still have my Sonos One which I love. For the price of the Move, I would rather buy an extra Sonos One and pair them together for better audio sound.

There was a spot in the first song that you never reviewed on the Sonos move that you only did on the Sonos 5..

Interesting at this volumen level the Play 5 sounds more detail, the five has a little more spice efects, Obviously, if you play one of the speakers then the difence are the room inside,

Nobody can't be that stupid to think these are for same use case? If you need portability, you have to pick Move. With no portability needs, you don't pick Move, but some other Sonos model. In Move you pay for the bluetooth connectivity and battery pack, otherwise it's sound wise par to Sonos Play One. I bought Move to be used in several rooms in my house, in three balconies and backyard. That saves me lot of money when I don't need to buy separate speakers for spaces I don't use that often.
