Man I was so happy to go to court after a month . Dead time . My case was dismissed. Never been back since, thank you Jesus wrong place at the wrong time.😊

I don't know about the county jail in your area but at least here it's very rare. Now when I was in prison, one guy did get raped in my unit, but again, also rare. Fights, theft and violence overall were common but rape, not so much.

I did 5 years in prison. I didn't owe money or get into drugs and stayed away from gangs, that's my advice to anyone getting locked up. And your going to have to fight a few times but after that when people know you'll fight it's smooth sailing.

I didn't do nearly that long as it was a year in county but was between two big gang cities and a lot of gang members were locked up on state charges or awaiting transport to a federal facility The "stay in your lane" approach is definitely the way to go. I got into a fight early when a big guy (but with a bad knee) fished t-shirts out of my cell when i had a visitor so nobody could think i was out of line for defending my stuff and setting a precedent early. Plus I got lucky as i ended up being really tight with a banger. Some other people in his gang weren't thrilled about it in the beginning because I am white but they were cool enough to let it play out and we all ended up being pretty close. I'd play spades for push-ups all day and hang with older dudes at night talking about the Bible. Once i learned the basic rules it was easy. In the beginning i thought i needed to fight a guy because he asked for my muffin that i didn't eat because i didn't like it and my buddy was cracking up. like "he just wants your muffin not your ass" lol. But yeah just mind your business and don't start anything or owe anybody and with a little bit of luck most people will be ok.

I was an extra on this episode. This was filmed at the old Lincoln Hghts jail. Same place where American History X was shot. Supposedly Manson and many others did time here before it became a movie prop. Most of it was shot on the rooftop. It was so hot up there with no shade whatsoever. Guys were passing out on the set! I dunno if I’d do it again. Seemed more trouble than it was actually worth!
