So I recreated this list 3 times and it seems to be well over 3k. Even w/o some of the upgrades like powerfists on the companions.

yeah i just reentered it in to Battlescribe, its 195pts over, that the exact cost of the Contemptor dread. This was filmed a while ago, nearest i can figure i must have had a the dread in the list and cut it out swapped for another type of dread and still put it on the table when i recorded the army.

Love the video!! Personally I don’t mind watching a game where one person wins by a lot just discuss why at the end of the game. I do understand Steve not wanting to feel like he is kicking some who is down.

Yeah, and unfortunately SoH doesn’t work too well with that list. Way too much transports and too little deep strike and pinning.

@@team_drews_basement that’s how it should be played imho. I find SoH quite punishing to play if you don’t lean on a very specific playstyle, which is a bit of a shame.

Drop a Spartan and put 10 Lascannon squad maybe with amaster of signal to help deal with armour? - But yeh DA just seem to have a trump card for everything with extra small bonuses everywhere with the story telling dude makes them OP.

I’d use the SoH cataphracti praetor as Abaddon, since the official model is well… looking like it’s trying to swallow a pineapple whole.

Playing SoH is a waste of time. This Legion is so weak that I don't think anything can save it. Overpriced units, poor synergy, downright tragic Legion rules. The fact that the use of the merciless warriors rule depends entirely on the opponent and he can "turn it off" at any time is pathetic.

I love SoH lore wise and some of their units, especially justies. But i agree. the more i play them, the more i realize im playing them for fun and fluff. I dont think theyre horrible. But if you are looking to do competition play. i would not recommend them

@@team_drews_basement Same here. I mainly play Dark Angels but I've found the lack of involvement with them in the HH narrative making games less exciting. I've now started making an Istvaan 3 themed list with SoH and EC, placing narrative limits on my list has made it a fun challenge (no vehicles, no flyers, no Leviathans, no SoH Justaerins or Reavers, has to have Loken and Tarvitz).

very 40k state of mind. Don´t trash other people´s fun and choice man. HH is 40k for gentlemen, the performance is second handed by lore, fluff, visuals and themes.

@@FlourEater Well, yes, because that moment when a fellow opponent, without the slightest resistance sweeps an entire army off the table without putting any effort into it is so incredibly narrative and enjoyable. For me, it's a waste of time. Creating an army takes a bardoz of effort, gluing, painting, completing. It is pointless to waste time on these models if one has any expectations other than modeling.
