Just a quick heads up, Sanguinius re-rolls failed Invulnerable saves the turn in which he charges. So Max would have had the opportunity to re-roll those 3 failed invulnerable saves when he charged against the Lion around 37:38. Otherwise, this was a great bat rep guys! I really do miss these handheld reports, and look forward to more Horus Heresy and Fantasy bat reps in the future.

No Steve, you did it wrong. The twmplates do wall of death even in return fire. Also the defender always chooses in which order to do saves, so he CAN tank non-breaching wounds on sarge first and than put breaching/rending wounds somewhere.

Also if you wanted to play "optimaly" as the DA, i know, i know, i also enjoy just rolling dice and seeing what happens, but this is just in case you were interested in some tactica tips: You want you interemptors driving up the middle to get the most out of those plasma flamers. Because there was basically no opposition to them. Generally, they can work as a good second wave to your forces or as the speedbump that will have to bea dealt with. For your deathstar, you'd actually want it as close to the middle of the Day of Revelation marker because: 1) you're fearless and thus immune to pinning 2) once the opponent drops down you hose them with wall of death plasma flamers (You could also do this with interemptos, but you're relying on passing LD9 stubborn pinning check, good odds, but not 100% reliable) 3) when you get shot at, you simply return fire 4) you can't hold the line, because you're fearless (i'm like 95% sure about this, i had this discussion the other day, but it's basically the same logic as vehicles not being able to hold the line, because they are fearless, i will check to make sure and confirm with page references) 5) you can use the spartan as a blocking tool to either force a disordered charge or use it to block part of your footprint, potentially reducing how many enemies get in At the end of the day, good and fun batrep. Maybe I'm mistaken, but the Inner Circle were charged by the Angel's Tears with rad-grenades. This would drop their toughness to 3, and the spears from the Dawnbreaker Cohort have total strength 6 (4, +1 from weapon and +1 from furious charge). So they would cause Instant Death, basically wiping the Inner Circle before they attacked

Yeah there were a LOT of mistakes here. Like I don't think you can spread wounds around on regular inner circle knights.

One quick thing, the set the skies aflame only works when all models in the unit have it. So if Sanguinius joins the dawnbreakers they don't get that ability. It's a little silly.

Could I know where that Sanguinius model is from? Looks like a kitbash or an entirely 3rd party model. The current FW one doesn't really do it for me, and the fact that it doesn't even come with a scenic base...

Very fun game to watch! I'm new to 2.0 and new to Blood Angels but can I can I check, during the first round of the big fight. The BA player used his special blades which are brutal 2. Am I right in thinking he should have caused double wounds rather than singles? Maybe I missed something 🤔 Thanks for the fun Batrep

I really like the Angels tears and the DBC but they really gimped Sanguinius rules this addition. He seems good at killing vehicles with his spear but apart from that he doesn't really have any interesting or powerful rules except being fast, like where is his precognition ability?

They moved his power around. He's now an incredible support piece as well as a bully combatant. Also missing his rerolls on invulnerable save on the charge was huge.

Just wondering at 15:18. Wasn't that model not in line of site because of the Rhino ? Now that I ask the question I'm thinking the Rhino is a unit and therefore the marines are in site after all. But would like to hear your thoughts. I thought only models in line of sight could be taken out. Or is it the camera angle. Love your videos guys. It helps me learn the game while reading the rules and painting my miniatures :)

Wait, its a challenge, how did Lionel kill someone outside the challenge? Its a fight specifically between those two and the rest of the fight might as well be across the board.

Primarchs all have native Precision Shots/Strikes, which allow them to allocate outside of melee at their discretion.

@@BronzePaintsAndGames I wasnt aware that meant they got to allocate it outside of their fight. I'll have to check my book but a challenge is a separate fight between two fighters, the rest of the fight, combat results aside, might as well be on the other side of the battle field.

Dark Angels don't get an inherent bonus for using swords anymore. Now it's just Deathwing get +1 to hit with swords. Also you forgot about It Will Not Die, don't think it would have made a difference for Sanguinius though.

For the inner circle Knights- you cant just spread the wounds around like that. You can have a wounded guy and then allocate a new lot ofattacks to a different model. But you cant just put 1 wound on each from the same pool of attacks.

Since when does a second immobilized result destroy your vehicle? It just removes an additional hull point. I legitimately love the content you guys consistently put out, but little rules like these are very easy to look up and maintain correctly
