The best weapon against demons is the crucifix - you don't need any aim skill - you can keep your distance - doesn't require any ammo - dose a good amount of damage - can get multiple at once - fire damage

Very good guide, but may I add a tip. The torch is really good early game. It sets cannibals, brutes and red ones on fire with one hit. It also stops them from fighting back which gives you enough time to keep hitting them.

i had so much fun once i got the chainsaw. one of those big ass cannibals was staring at me and i was just standing there looking at him. as soon as he started walking towards me i ran at him with the chainsaw held straight out with right click, buzzed his arm off instantly. he sat on the ground screaming and crying, and rolling around for so long since he still had so much health left, it took him a long time to die on his own crying in the grass. once they lose a limb they fall down and start screaming and crying til they die. chainsaw is my favorite weapon now

Traps seem nice, but they can only be placed on a flat surface, and small animals like squirrels or bunnies set them off all the time, requiring you to reset them often. Here's a better suggestion!: Use sharpened fortified sticks... it literally stuns them and can even dismember them easily! For the mutants, Caterpillar should be fought in a rotating manner, Fingers should be shot in the leg/knee to stun, babies need to burn in hell!

Another tip: Fingers can be shot in the knee with a bow or spear throw and this will put them on one knee for a long time. This is good when you dont have any materials for a trap or molly. follow up with heavy attack spam and it should die in one or two cycles (i play hard mode so idk for normal dmg)

poking fingers with a spear or shooting them with an arrow on their legs will stun them for 5~ seconds. rlly easy to kill them this way

Basicly shoot for the head wkth arrow or bullets, stun them with stun batton or stun gun, hit with weapon (when stunned you can dk heavy attack and 1 or 2 shot them) and fire use fire arrows or moletoves (or crusifx on demons)

The very first item i got is a cross and rope gun in a blind playthrough. Cross is not end game.

As I explore I build lots of small elevated bases surrounded by traps. I stick up a tarp, make sure the bed is two floors off the ground, and surround it with spikes and traps. Then as I travel around the map I can hop from base to base, and if anything wants to mess with me I shimmy up the rope and let Virginia and the traps take care of the hard work. Same with caves tbh. I just creep forward, installing lights and traps, so once its done I can scoot through them really easily in the future for loot.

Some blind mutants seem to have insane HP later in the game. I can still kill a caterpillar with 2 molotovs and can one shot kill some blind mutants. But there seems to be one in every horde that can kill me with 2 or three hits (including creepy armour) and they take a ton of damage.

Thumbsy (fingers mutant) always takes a knee if hit in the leg, and it can interrupt an attack wind-up. Stab with spear will give you enough time to switch to axe and then get 2-3 good heavy hits. Even easier once a person has the katana.

Well I say the easiest why to kill the Demons are the cross. it is the Easiest thing to use against them. Though.. I still would like to know how to deal with The Boss Demon, or The glowing Blind Mutant that you run into during midgame or late game. As they are the most annoying thing to get attacked by as you building. Especially the Glowing blue blind ones.. aka.. the Puffton mutants.

Other than the demon boss, which I haven't seen outside a cave, glowing mutants are the toughest enemy in the game. (They're like Pufftons, but without the tuxedo.) I'm on day 200+, and they show up often.

Katana/ crossbow combo is your best friend. Crossbow for headshots and the katana for cutting off legs

Machete is best for babies, you can swing it so fast even if they jump at you, you mess them up.

Since this video is about a year old, something must have changed since this game did exit early access to full release, as you can't headshot kill enemies anymore. Takes a lot of arrows if lucky or you get taken out before with just one or two hits.
