Who’s back here after the Time II announcement realizing how fucking ambitious this madlad was/is?
@Patralgan6 ай бұрын
The mistake Jari made was that he started this project way too early. He didn't have the resourches and tech to make it a reality as was intended. That led to a lot of criticism from fans because of endless delays and crowdfundings. Can't really blame him since I'm sure he was extremely eager to make his visions come reality, but the time just wasn't right. Then again, we have been blessed to have songs like "Sons of Winter and Stars" and "Time" for 12 years now, but just imagine if in 2024 he dropped the whole thing (Time I & II) at once at full quality. It would be truly insane.

The intro guitar melody is something else when it's isolated. I can't believe all the incredible nuisances that are essentially inaudible in the album version.
@salsasamuri3 жыл бұрын
He mightve had to cut some instruments out so he could actually mix it. His system couldnt handle the full project very well, without crashing. Basically, don't make music like this with a Mac. Lmao
@AnteroJokinen3 ай бұрын
@@salsasamuri Funny comment since Macs are considered amazing for music production - and they are.
@AnteroJokinen3 ай бұрын
@@salsasamuri Jari's way of working is quite different from many other producers. He has all the sections in different tracks. For example, Nightwish has over 700 tracks of orchestrations but not all of them are imported seperately to the mixing project. Many of them are bounced together to a stereo file.

Really cool to get an insight into the instrumentation! I´ve just "discovered" Wintersuns music and I think it´s fantastic :D

4:55 It's awesome to see a finish metal god using the erhu in his mix lol. It's a chinese 2-stringed fiddle commonly used in chinese orchestra. But he uses it to great effect in his album.

i can tell from going back and forth between this and the isolated orchestration track from the forest package, that he did a lot of sample cutting to mix the project.

i wonder what plugins he used for the instrumentations
@hotfuzz5610 жыл бұрын
Azhi Ragnaroksama I think he uses alot of the East West Quantum Leap stuff like Symphonic Choirs and Goliath.
@hotfuzz5610 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he uses Goliath and Symphonic Orchestra Gold for some of the orchestral elements and I know he uses the wordbuilder in Symphonic Choirs for the choirs.
@hotfuzz5610 жыл бұрын
It's an addon to the Symphonic Choirs VST. It works as a second vst that you use along with the normal plugin.
@hotfuzz5610 жыл бұрын
No worries, took me a while to find the vsts so i thought i'd save you time searching for them :P The wordbuilder only works with the symphonic choirs vst. Also keep in mind the DAW you're using needs to support polyphonic aftertouch to use wordbuilder - some programs (like Ableton) don't support it.

I'm kind of new to being a music enthusiast, so maybe I should know the answer to this, but I don't; Why is your name Fuck Nuclearblast? Is something wrong with them? I've heard they made Jari split Time in to two parts, but other than that, I don't know why you'd have that name.
