a truly beautiful ending for this game, it warmed my heart like no ending in the last period has done, starting from the final scene on the island, absurdly cool, the whole scene with the CIA going to save the protagonists with the helicopter scene, with the characters finally speaking! really cool! then also the post-finale, i.e. Virgina who is saved and apparently married to the protagonist (whose name is not yet known), Kelvin who unfortunately is practically gone due to the brain injury but the scene in which he builds the little house with that kind of lego made me sad but also happy, also because when he is in the car with the Mc and Virginia he goes to the rhythm of the music, proof that the doctors saved his hearing, which is wonderful considering that Kelvin loves music and he also hears it in the opening helicopter scene. I have doubts about Timmy, it's likely that thanks to Solophite it will be possible to cure the mutant infection that lurks inside him, but this ending is very open... so I'm anxiously awaiting The Forest 3 now... in which I hope to see Timmy, Eric + our new characters namely the Mc from Sons of the forest, Virginia and kelvin! If The Forest 3 ever comes out (and it's likely in a few years considering how much this game is loved despite being an indie) it will be a beautiful game, I imagine it with absurd graphics (since if it comes out it will be 2025/2026), plot connected to Sons of the Forest and who knows what the future holds for us! I conclude this infinite but necessary comment since I follow Sons of the Forest and also this channel from the first teaser, I am happy to have believed in this project until the end and in the end I was rewarded, at least for me this game is a 10, now I play video games very little, both due to lack of time and because I have other interests since I've grown up and everything, but I'm going to play Sons of the Forest again with my friends these days and I'm sure I'll have as much fun as we had playing it on day one, last February 27th... I'm positive for the future of the series, i.e. with The Forest 3, and nothing... sorry for this long comment but I had to do it, to best express how happy I am (even though I play very little as said before) to play some games with friends every now and then and have such a beautiful plot and such beautiful gameplay to pass the time , have fun and get carried away by the lore! let's hope for the best for The Forest 3, thanks to those who read all of this (no one) and a good day to all of you fans of The Forest!

The protagonists name is Jack Holt, there is an email from Edward Puffton addressing him that "If anyone can figure this out its Jack holt" and later after the protagonist gets knocked out by jiyanyu after the helicopter crash he sends an email saying "who is Jack hold, I didn't know puffton had friends" which explains why he decided to spare the protagonist to see what was up with him as through the gameplay, a helicopter will sometimes appear to see how the protagonist is doing, so it all makes sence putting it in that way, and also once you finish the game in the credits you can see that tge protagonist actually made a book talking about his experiences on site 2.

im so impressed, from a game that i got when it came out. plain and all, i took a break and i havent played it since. and i go on youtube and i see this. so much have changed and im so happy it did. its so much better and the aftermath of everything is just awesome! you need to make a another sotf game. where they get lost and blah blah blah... it would be awesome and i would defenetly buy it. love your amazing game and a big thank you for all the ones working on it! this is an amazing game, keep up the amazing work. thank you

It’s nice that our main character has a relationship with Virginia in the ending and she’s pregnant with his child I feel that it was somthing influenced by the community because of everyone loving Virginia.

All you evil people treating kelvin like that it was obvious he was deaf and dumb from the crash and lost. People actually got angry over him not helping I actually used to feel I had to protect him having cared for my dads brother who is similar and brings plenty of humour if you understand the character. He was meant to get things wrong and stop working because he's just lost bless him 😊

Probably post operation unless the protagonist wants his kid to be born a mutant, i think they didn’t just decapitate her third leg, it must have something to do with the solafite ore itself since Timmy also told the doctor to try to cure him using the ore. Just a speculation.

I want some diversity in Kelvin’s ending. For example, if you mostly ignore him he will suffer from brain damage like in original ending. In the other case, if you don’t ignore him and make him involved in your survival, he is actually could get well

There is a full lore behind every note and they improve the game SO MUCH. You get to know player character name, why Jianyu became so, what happened to Cultists and Pufftons... I'll make a video trying to explain it, tho it's quite difficult
