Dear VISHAL DADLANI, Sonu never said that the contestants lip sync. He said that only corrected singing performances are aired. Which means that if the contestants sing badly then they are made to sing again and again till they get it right and then it’s aired. Which is obviously an unfair practice

Umm, this is true. I've seen this myself when i sat in the audience once, and i was a bit surprised. If a contestant doesn't sing properly, they're allowed to sing again to get it right. I also went to Indian Idol. They asked me if I have cracked IIT, I refused. So they said to impress Sonu Nigam you have to crack Nagar Nigam paper. This broke my heart but still I sang with my lungs out and at last I cracked all the papers in India. Thank you Anu Malik Ji and Rakhi Sawant Di for your motivation.

Sonu Nigam is absolutely right.. But he haven't told tht each and every performance is dubbed and lip synched.. He just told tht if some contestant haven't sung well they correct tht part of the song in studio...listen carefully wht he said.. He said that the marketing team will never telecast the faulty performance. I really respect his honesty.. I support Sonu Nigam for this.. He is the fair and honest judge Indian Idol had.

when you record a song do you record a faulty performance or is the singer allowed to sing again and correct his mistakes? It doesn't happen in all performances only those who sing really bad due to nervousness are allowed to correct themselves by singing again.. and obviously they sing better than others, it's not like you can modify the voice of that participant, it's his/her real voice and most of the times, it's the first take only. Like I said those who sing really bad or not upto minimum standards are allowed to sing again n correct their parts. or drama hota hai yes i agree, fake stories bhi dikhayi jati hain participants ki to gain TRP, it's true

This is my personal view Word "Reality" should be removed from Singing, Dancing shows as they have become daily soaps. They are running for 9 months, 10 months. No eliminations, no critical judgements and now they have started to promote nepotism. If viewers have to vote and decide who will win there is there a need for judges?
