4:08 You got the time signature slightly incorrect there. Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin is in 7/8 time signature and when he transitions to Kal Ho Na Ho, he masterfully sings the latter also in 7/8 timing for some time but it is originally in 4/4, then he comes back to 4/4 after a few lines. I'm trained in Western classical but 7/8 is a tricky time signature to carry a tune in, so an easy way I found to keep track is (Ta Ta Ta) (Ta Ka) (Ta Ka) (7 beats) which Indian musicians use, and this is slightly easier and more intuitive (atleast for me) to follow while singing. Its from.7-8 to 4-4 he transitioned from first song's key to sing kal ho na ho in same key then went to 4-4 then reached the song's original key thats Mr.Sonu Nigam for U ..he can never go off key never ever

this is the performance where he changed up the songs completely! It was a total flex of his vocal talent. I think 2014 was when Sonu was literally at the height of his vocal prowess. If he is indicating with his hands to the musicians, then they are off stage right there.

There are so many things in this performance that feels unusual or "incorrect".... But but but, Sonu Nigam loves to do that wherever he can. You can see that in his many acapella performances. Even in reality shows of his time, he used to sing the same song in different keys, change scales, etc. to showcase the difference it makes. And of course, it's a lowkey flex though.😉

Roopak (7 beats), jhap (10 beats) and deepchandi (14 beats) - these three indian beats are difficult for you to understand because the western music doesn't have the concept of these beats. And also the indian beats are cyclical with the concept of sam (clap) and khaali (wave). The western beats are totally linear - no claps, no waves.
