Tamron 20-40 will be better for casuals and beginners. Cheaper, smaller & wider.

Love this lens. Great video. Just a heads up, you mentioned you cannot use clear image zoom in video mode. That’s incorrect. I have the A7C2 and have a custom bottom set and use it all the time with my Sony 20mm G.

Which one would you chose between this lens over the recently released Sony 20-70/4 as an EDC lens, on a similar note, I have the following lenses: Samyang 24/1.8 Sigma 35/1.4 DG DN Sony Zeiss 55/1.8 Sigma 85/1.4 DG DN I am looking for a versatile zoom in the hope to replace my 24 and 55mm lenses for EDC, travel and family/personal shoots. Thank you Suzi for this great video.

That’s a tough call. I personally would go with the 24-50 because if the faster aperture. You can also use Aps-c mode and Clear Image Zoom to make up for the shorter focal length (more info on those here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaqUqYZ7e5WSqdEsi=7C6YtFvFolGd6-e3)
