@@Applewood well, that's exactly what I do, minus the latest LUTs part since I have no idea what LUTs you are talking about. my problem is: the footage is always too flat for me, pumping up Saturation to the maximum and the footage still looks somehow flat and unnatural. Sometimes I have to add an extra Lumetri Color effect just to raise the Saturation a bit more I don't know if it was a mistake during shooting or color grading, but most of the youtubers I watch only need one Lumetri Color effect to fix the color

Hi ! Great work! The picture quality is just... amazing! I'm a little perturbated with the SLog2 settings on the 6300/6500 series (mine is a 6500 model) because I shot some videos at 12800 without any noise and, yesterday, I reinitialized the settings and shot some videos at 6400 iso... and the image is terrificly noisy! Could you tell us what are the advanced settings which you applied on the Slog2 profile ? And by the way the DRO/HDR settings, supposing they have an incidence on the result. Thanks by advance :-)
@volumelux2536 жыл бұрын
ThimeStudio i've had this problem to. I think you are not over exposing enough. There seem to be some middle where Its to noisy to use and grade doesnt fix it. But IF you overexpose more you can fix it with grade..! Try it out!

Yes from the reviews I have read about the a6500, the 1080p is quite soft and far behind the competitors.

Thats a great video mate. I usually shoot at Cine4, have you tried it with the same settings at similar low light conditions? The reason that you have shoot at 1/30 shutter means that is +2 exposed? Once it was clipping at 107% when you had 1/50, right? Or it was for a different reason? Have you used any denoise such as NeatVideo? Thanks ;)
@volumelux2537 жыл бұрын
Gustavo Nascimento i have heard that Color correcting holds up better using Cine4. Will try that at some point. I Could have gotten +2 exposure with more ISO or opening up the lens more. But No lens is super sharp full open so i sticked with 2.8 and had the shutter at 1/30 to get more light in! The motion blur is not to noticable because of the slow movement and lack of change frame to frame. Would not be usable in real world. No de noise plugin was Used! Only post action was color correction and grade!
@gustavorosa28447 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the answer mate, I got your point. I didn't realize before that you were at 2.8, It's 1/8 on the video title, but it's just about the lens itself. Appreciate that ;)

I know! I have a bunch of shots in slow motion in 1080p and they are just garbage. It was only 3200iso too. If it was that noisy with only a 3200 ISO, in Cine 4, I was worried it would be even worse with S-LOG3 especially when overexposing

If the shutter speed is slower it's more blurry and "smooth". Dreamy wibe if you will. If you go below your shooting FPS it will be choppy. But not at the same or more.

Can you show me how this is done? or tell me? I even get noise when Im shooting at bright daylight...XAVC S HD, 120p 100M, I have slog 2 and exposure comp. always at +2(can't go higher somehow?)
@volumelux2537 жыл бұрын
Whats your glass and your settings? Try lowering the Aperture to set exposure and set ISO to 200 or 400. Also. Don't shoot in 120p. The 120p in the A6300 or 6500 is very soft and unusable. If you shoot in 24p you can have your shutter at 1/50th to save light.
@Furstset7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Im shooting with the sigma 30mm 1.4. In Slog 2 the minimum iso is 800 right? so can't put that to 200. And that makes sense! will try to do it in 60fps then!
@volumelux2537 жыл бұрын
I dont think the 6500 can do 60p in 4K. Do 30p and you can slowdown to 24 if needed. You always need to set shutter speed to twice what framerate you choose. And the faster shutter speed the less light you get. So do 24p / 1/50 to get as bright as possible. Also avoid going down as far as 1.4 on your lens. Often the image gets very soft at that low aperture and the focus hard to control. Try leaving it at 2 - 2.8.
@Furstset7 жыл бұрын
oh no, Im only filming full HD. but the slowmotion is crucial for me. I prefer to shoot everything in 120fps but you think thats the major reason of the noise? and yes. I always use 120fps > 250 frame rate.
@volumelux2537 жыл бұрын
That could very much be the case. Slowmotion in lower light is really hard. And this camera really stinks with slowmotion sadly. One of the cons of the camera. I wish it had 60 or 120p in 4K.
