Excelent Arnulfur! You're totally right about "30 minutes filming at 4k 120 fps"... It's just a non sense. Everybody is getting mad about this camera model overheating, but nobody actually filming at this size/rate/setting for so long periods of time.

I've looked on a lot of videos regarding the overheating thing. The ones who overhead doesn't seem to have put the setting to high tolerance. And as you say, who filmes for 60min straight with that? I really wanna know 😂 So basically it isn't a issue at all for 99% using the camera. As always, awesome content! 😀

Which memory card did you use for 4k 120 FPS? Is V90 rating required to shoot 4k 120? V90 cards are expensive so I am trying to decide between 64GB V90 or 128GB V60 card.

100 fps looks nice, but when you already had A7IV with you, you should have done a little comparison of 100fps 4k on A6700 vs 100fps 1080p on A7IV, because many are in doubt whether they need A7IV or if A6700 is quite enough for their needs.

Just tested the a7iv and the a6700 slow motion for the same purpose. And it all depends what your main goal is. Are you shooting for fun, youtube videos and such? or are you working on commercial projects? For fun, youtube videos and sometimes commercial projects, the a7iv will be enough, but it has big limitation, like 1080p not being able to cropp in, with 100fps you can only shoot 8bit footage, and it doesn't work amazingly unless it's used in strong daylight, and it might come out noisy, and a little bit soft. I've used some 120fps from my old a7iii in a dog commercial, but i really had to fix it in post to make it look good. Also no slog3 with 8bit footage, it's not usable, so keep that in mind. The 120 fps on the a7iv is not bad, but I would definitelly prefer 4k if possible, even if it's 8bit. Also the a6700 can do 240 fps in 1080p. Which is crazy. At this level i don't even care about the aps-c sensor, it's just packed with features and a much better choice than many fullframe cameras. Which is a joy, and a frustration if you invested in fullframe cameras.

@@ivandj707 It's very understandable. You cannot offer the same abilities as on higher models, but for a lower price. I believe the crippled the camera when they chosed to crop the 4k50fps. I see no reason in spending big money on a full frame camera and full frame lenses to record crop mode. If I want crop mode, I will buy a cheaper aps-c sensor camera. That really pissed me off

I expect it's the 16-55mm G. Sony sent this lens out to all the A6700 testers as they wanted the reviews to be premium quality. There's a big crop on 4k 120 so the images at the long end will look very zoomed in. 55mm is already about 84mm (1.53 crop of Sony APSC) and the 4k 120 will be 1.5 crop of that crop, giving the appearance of well over 100mm at the long end

Hey I hope you will answer this. You say you live in a PAL area which I also do but I have shot in NTSC all the time and haven’t had any issues with that. I know you maybe had some flickering in the old days with televisions having cathode-ray tubes but now anymore? What I did found out was that with shooting in NTSC and 30/60 FPS the footage looked much better on social media since Instagram, Facebook and TT compresses the video to 30 FPS. So if you upload a 25 FPS video to Instagram it will change to 30 FPS when uploaded and then you’ll need pixels and the video will not be smooth. What’s your take on that? Super great content also. I’m really tempted to buy APS-C again 😂

I’ve just noticed that when I’m filming in the city where it’s eclectic lights they are more prone to flicker when filming in 24fps in a pal region. Could me I’m mistaken or just imagining, but that’s what I’ve noticed. In nature though it doesn’t matter ☺️

What did u decide to do about this Turns out my phone was purchased from an ntsc country so I have no pal selector option, but if I set the settings to auto, it stops the flicker.i wonder if these cameras are the same, I highly prefer the workflow of 30 60 120 too.

This feature was unheard of in any of the A6000 cameras! KZbin hype really. It’s amazing that the A6700 can do it and the A7IV can’t. Definitely a great buy for beginners and professionals alike 👌🏽. Users are spoilt for choice.

Footage looks nice, I always find 120 a dash too slow, you can really lose pace, so somewhere between 60 and 120 aka 100 is a nice option to have.
