I love my Sony a6700... I'm so glad I waited to get my first SONY camera until this one came out. I started out with the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 (which I love especially for stills and some video) and added the Sony 20mm f1.8 G mostly for video and some photography (brings me closer to an actual 35mm - not a fan of super wide angles). I'm planning to add the Viltrox 27mm f1.2 AND Viltrox 75mm f1.2 as well to the kit.

I freaking love this camera! I’ve owned mine for about 3 months now and it has been giving me justice! I actually sold my Sony a7iii for the a6700 mainly for the video specs but even tho I went from full frame to apsc you honestly can’t even tell the difference in most scenarios. Yes it does only have a 1 card slot so there’s no way to back up any footage but I’ve already done plenty of professional work with my a6700 as my main camera and I never ran to any issues. For sure it’s a risk especially when working with big clients or shooting a wedding. Usually you need more than one camera with those type of gigs. So the risk level varies on how big or small the gig is. In my experience I never ran to any issues. I’m using a Sony tough card so of course that does play a role of feeling more confident that I won’t run into any card corruption issues so choose your sd cards wisely. Still you’ll hear stories of photographers/videographers who’ve never had a card corrupt and some who’ve had. So take that as you will. Nonetheless the Sony a6700 is a powerhouse in a small body!! I definitely recommend it for all types of shooters!!🙌🏼📸🎥

@BehindTheNeedle6 ай бұрын
@@sergiubn It all depends on your use case. So, I do KZbin interviews of tattoo artists. The FX30 is the main camera for the talking head videos. Never overheats. Two SD cards. It sits on a tripod. The A6700 is the B-cam and is handheld, giving me different angles. When I do B-roll for the interview, I mainly use the A6700 as it's lighter, and I can take photos with it too. I've never had any issues with these two cameras. I shoot everything in S-log 3. I use the Sony 16-55mm f2.8 for the FX30 and the Sigma 18-50mm for the A6700. For both cameras, I use the Sony ECM-M1 for audio. Depending on the location, I might use the DJI Mic 2 for the interview. But have to say that the dxRevice plugin for FCP really cleans up the audio well. I hope this helps! Keep going.

LONG time Fuji user and early adopter here. Love my XT5 and curious about the Nikon, but considering a leap to Sony or something. I’ve been shooting since the 90’s. Shot lots of film back in the day. I’ve shot every camera system from Canon to Nikon, Fuji, Olympus and beyond. Never tried Sony (other than my little ZV1 which is awesome). Curious about an A6700 or something really small and ergonomic. I do wear glasses so I need an EVF. Love mirrorless. I shoot headshots and I make a living at it. Currently shooting XT5’s but the autofocus is broken. If they don’t fix by new year I’m done. What camera system would you choose for full time portraiture? I have a weak back and shoulder and I’m 53 so I’m looking to go as light, ergonomic and fast as possible. Lighter the better. I shoot 75% natural light & 25% in a studio. Occasionally I shoot a family session, usually entirely with my X100V’s. I’m looking to change it up, but stay light and fast. I don’t need a tank I need a feather. I would love your thoughts!

Super versatile, camera shooting great vids. Hopefully, IA is there to help on that... Autofocus is great (day and night compared to the z5), camera + lenses are lightweight and compact, prices are ok. Lots of nice features. Great camera for the most part. Been using it for several paid/professional photo shoots. I got it to overheat on a long video shooting session of about 40 minutes. The alternative fix I did to resolve this was get the ulanzi attach fan which resolved overheating issues. Otherwise this is my new starting camera have had other a6000 series cameras and ZV-1 but really enjoying the refreshed menu system as well.
