It happened, unfortunately ... I have a few hot pixels on my sensors and none of the ways I found online worked so I decided to just tell you guys the way I cover them for now!

Just got the a7iii and i noticed a blue dot in the dark tried all sorts then did the time reset and it worked thank god. Thanks for the video so much help

The date change solution worked after I got a dead pixel from a minor camera drop of A7c. Thanks! Hope it helps many more people.

Thanks, changing the date removed the eye-burning red pixel (in dark scenes) in the centre of the sensor.

so i just bought mine 2 days ago, i’m getting the pixels with pictures, i did the date thing and it didn’t work, as far as the update i have the latest version should i still try’s and redownload it? is this a matter where i should just return it because my sensor is flawed?

hi luca im having the same issue on my Sony A7 mk3, I live in Japan and the Sony call center told me to change the month on setting on my camera, then turn it off, then put the right month again then turn it on again, the reason why they did me to do it is because every time the camera change the month it remaps the pixels on the sensor, this only happens once every month so you might force this situation to happen, please let me know if I solve your issue, if so I just save you 600euros lol

Hey! Yeah I heard of that method but apparently never really works and in my case didn’t. I did ended up just paying to replace the sensor a year ago 😅

I also had dead pixels caused by laser. I have a guarantee. Do they do free sensor replacement? And will I have any problems after making the change? I don't want my machine to boot :(

If any of these don't work then your best bet is just send it into Sony for repair. I just did that and the warranty covered it.
