SONY A7RII | CUSTOM BUTTON SETUP

I just bought a Sony A7ii and was searching for ideas about the custom buttons. I have watched several videos with a few more to go. So far, your video has been the clearest and most helpful. I have had my A7rii for some time and this video made me realize I can use a custom function to switch between my monitor and view finder!!!!!!

Thanks alot for this vid! Learned alot BUT... how do i set my number 1 and 2 on the wheel for video? If i spin the wheel to number 1, Where can i make It so it goes to video mode? Because now If im at number 1 and set everything as i want and the turn of the camera, all setting Will be reset.... Also, do you taking video at fullframe or super35?

you will need to make your custom settings while the dial is in the "movie reel" position. Reach into the camera menu and go to memory recall and select "1". After this is completed, when you switch to position "1" those settings will be reflected.

The Professional Amateur Great, Thanks alot! But do you filming in full framme or s35? I find It a bit noisy on clothes and stuff in 4k FF even in daylight

excellent question! I shoot exclusively in s35 to reduce this noise and to achieve a similar look to my a6500. Thanks for the question Jesper!

How do you customize and display the display settings that show up on your camera? (top and sides of display?)

Once focused via back button Why can’t you just let go of the button and recompose? Then press the shutter to take the shot, that’s how it’s works on any other camera. The focus should be locked in to the last focus you made. I think you need to re test that.

The fn button on the back brings you directly to white balance as well as many other features so that’s kinda pointless.
