With the focus hold button can it be set to punch in while holding the button and go back to full frame on release of button?

Good to see how someone else sets up the camera. I made a couple of changes based on your suggestions. And some of my settings are based on my experience with the a1. One question… you have your pre capture set to .02 seconds. Don’t you mean .2 seconds?
@PMRTV5 ай бұрын
yes, my bad. .02 is my setting.

@@PMRTV .02 is two one hundreds of a second. It would net you 1 or 2 shots of pre capture.

NIce video. I am trying to find a way to shoot in single mode with the option of pushing one of the buttons to change that to 5 frames per second. The goal is to mostly shoot one frame per composition and shoot a slow burst when needed. I can change the F5 button but only seemed to apply when multi shot is on. cannot find a way to shoot both single shot with quick option to shoot 5 shots per second. Any ideas how this is possible.

I was thinking if you bought an original A7, it would do this naturally...

Hello. Thanks for the video. I have two questions and both are related to pre capture. First one why don’t you increase the time a bit? 0.02 is super fast. It is like you have super human speed and don’t really need it. If you say you have too many files, the good thing is that you can stack the pictures and just lock the ones you would like to keep and erase the other ones if you need space on your drive. Or at least you can note them with stars to identify the correct one to keep. Second question is regarding the way to activate precapture. Why not use both shutter and af? This way is you are focusing but didn’t press the shutter at the same time(because back button focusing) you are getting the images in advance. Cheers from France and thanks for the nice video as usual. Alex

you are kind of assuming two things: 1. unlimited card space and 2. no deadlines

Hey did you ever make the video of using the a9iii with flash?
@PMRTV29 күн бұрын
not yet but it's now basketball season!!!!

Great video, thank you. Can you recommend a fast CF Express Type A card for the A9iii? I'm thinking of the best one with fastest sustained write speeds not necessarily the 'paper stated' write speeds, this to clear the buffer quickest.
@PMRTV4 ай бұрын
I use the Sony ones but I hear that all of them are fast. I think it's more the nature of the cards so do some shopping and see what you can get a deal on :)

If you were buying would it be A9111 or A1?
@Legndz2 ай бұрын
I have both and I couldn't imagine living without either one now. Both have an everyday use in my sports photography. If I didnt have either and could only afford one then A1. It's checks far more boxes in everyday photography use.

I'm a beginner here. I still don't understand why not shooting in raw. I thought all pros shoot in raw for post-production process.
@PMRTV4 ай бұрын
not if we re on deadline!!! Jpg is still king for most pro sports shooters.
@StaffyDoo26 күн бұрын
You are right, that’s why I shoot in both RAW + JPEG fine* with my Nikon Z8. That way, I can quickly share or upload the JPEG images if I need too, but I still have the “original” RAW image containing all the data captured by the camera.
