Great video! I'm exploring a variety of cams as a novice and I'm considering purchasing the NEX-6. Do you have a link or info on where I can find the exact 18-200 lens (it's a beauty)? Thank you in advance for any info that you may provide.

with the price that low on the A7 - it's hard to choose from the newer a-mount models or the new A7. In Denmark the A7 and A77MKII is almost set at the same price, and one of them in full frame. Only downside is almost that all my glass is for a mount

choose the a7, i have it. Sony is giving out adapters for other lenses. I have a voigtlander 50mm 1.5 on the a7 with a metabones adapter :)

yes, but the a7 would automatically go into crop mode, and from 24MP to about 10MP

Hi there, i was just wondering. I have the NEX-6 with the 35mm F1.8 on it. I was thinking of getting the big 18-200 with the power zoom as a main lens that would be my main lens. Would you recommend this or not?

If you are shooting in the day with plenty of light that may work for you but the image quality and focus speed will be better with the 35mm 1.8. I suppose if you carry the 35mm with you, you can always change the lens if needed. Your best bet is to buy one from a store that you can return it and try it out for a day or two or even look for a lens rental place so you can try it out and see if it will work for your needs..

The PowerZoom functions are not controllable from the NEX-6 body (you can still use the slider on the left side of the lens housing) but it does produce truly excellent images. I have NEX VG30s also, so I tried the combination, and was disappointed by the lack of electronic integration.

i just got the nex-6 and i think its great, but i heard sony is coming out with a new camera in the nex line soon, not sure if i should return it and wait or just keep this one, i got a pretty sweet deal on it price came out to $525 with the kit lens.

keep it and ditch the kit lens. Whatever they are coming out with wont be so much better that you can't do the same thing image quality wise with the nex-6. I had a nex-6 and now have a A7 and they are both fine cameras. I suggest you use your kit lens to find what focal length you shoot the most then get your self some prime lenses like the 35mm 1.8, 19mm 2.8, 30mm 2.8 ,50mm 1.8 or the expensive but very good 24mm 1.8. If you are the kind of person that prefers zooms and mostly shoot jpeg over raw then a get a fuji w the 18-55 kit lens. I also had a fuji x-e1 and sold that along w the nex-6 to get the A7. If you decide on the fuji I would get a x-e2. The x-e1 is not very accurate with focus in dim light vs the nex-6 in dim light.

looks a nice cam..but i cannot see the benefit over a cam with a mirror..yes you just go out with 1 lens you have a space/weight saving but as the full frame lenses are...well big fullframe i dont think i will notice any difference when i have my 17-35 f2.8L 28-70 f2.8L 70-200 f2.8L 90mm f2.5 macro 80mmf1.4L..if i have that lot it will make no difference if i have a canon 5D or a sony a7......so will keep with a nex for a snapshot cam
