Thank you so much! This worked easily for me with my iPhone/iPad/MacBook and my 65” (Android) Sony tv. I’ve read tons and watched other videos …. All to no avail. Within minutes of watching your video, I had it working. (Although I am concerned how much access I gave to fotoo!!!) My dog just passed. I have so many photos that I want to have constantly displayed and you helped me do just that. THANK YOU!

Thanks for sharing this video! 2 minutes in you talk about changing the settings on the TV (Picture mode) and I was wondering if this is something that can be automated when the Fotoo app is running (or if you’d have to enable/disable it whenever you want to watch TV vs look at art).

I've found an artist and would like to purchase their 4k picture and have it displayed on my tv as a piece of art (rather than the loupe of landscape photos). Is this possible? Also, I have a Bravia. Is it ok to have only one photo or do I need multiple so not to burn screen?

How do you get the Frame border effect when displaying “Art” like “The Frame” Samsung? I’m not talking about the frame casing around the TV. I am referring to the border within the TV pixels. Just adds to the resemblance you are looking at a painting / artwork that has been professionally framed.

Unfortunately at this point in time, you'd have to manually add a border on the original image via image editing software. There is no option to add border via this fotoo app yet. I did make a request to the app creators. Perhaps more requests will get them to add in this feature.

Close, but unfortunately it won't change the kelvin based on the ambient lighting in the room. Still a good tutorial though.

Does the ambient light sensor work well enough so it looks less like a lit screen? I have to say for many people it’s not working that great on the Frame either (2022 model). Even though that’s the whole point.

For the record you can customise the "Fotoo" app altering things such as transition effects, duration, to launch at the TV boot up etc. Also, the picture preset you choose on your TV will not need to be altered each time, it'll stay selected for that app whenever you launch it, feel free to further customise the picture preset for more accurate configuration. Here's a free artwork gallery, you can find famous artwork you actually LIKE and download these files. Upload them to Google Photos in a folder and then link "Fotoo" to this folder to display your art! Or you can transfer to USB and insert, EASY! I appreciate its not as effortless as Samsungs option, however, it's far more cost-effective! - www.artic.edu/collection . I bet the frame TV couldn't hold many pictures on it's internal memory. Aren't Samsung and most other "smart" TV's very limited in space?

Super video, Inderpreet. I am tempted to get the Frame but your vid makes me reconsider. I think for me the deciding factor is energy consumption though i am not sure whether the Frame uses less energy because it was designed for background viewing. Do you know? Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Hmm I'm afraid I'm not so sure about the energy consumption. My views on this is, although the frame may have the aesthetics, I'd rather go for overall picture quality/processing/motion handling/usage and this is where the Sony excel in my opinion!

Nice video but the premium price for Fotoo is now £35 on sale to £21.99 so the price has gone up 10x since this video went live. I'd avoid wasting your time if you stumble across this video like i did.

What resolution or picture size do photos need to be to look good on a 65" TV?

The television used in the video is a 65 inch 4K television and is around 8.5 megapixels - model Sony 65AG9. 4K on televisions, should actually and correctly be called UHD televisions, UHD resolution is 3840x2160. A lot of the photos I've downloaded via the links provided in the description box are around the same values or below which still look great on the television. Sony televisions upscale content very well. So don't aim for a specific number as even my 4 megapixels files look perfectly fine.
