Today I've bought the Sony BPD-S1700. But I wonder is there a slow motion on it. Also the remote control of the TV seems to have taken several functions from the DVD-player's remote control and several of his usual functions are not available as long as the DVD-player is switched on. I don't want this. Can it be undone?

Can you do me a favor and try to play movies on a flash drive that are in MKV and MP4 and see if they play and play smoothly? I'm thinking of getting this one from Fingerhut to play these Shout/Scream Factory bluray's that don't know how to play half the time on my older Sony bluray player and my Roku 4 player doesn't play MKV files via. flash drive either.

Yes you just have to sign in to your psn account and you can play games online. You can't out the disc into the dvd slot. It doesn't work that way

at least it takes disc because my old blue ray player dvd tray got stuck the hdmi died out .pluse i use a xbox series x and ps4 slim but my ps4 slim dvd tray is not reading disc and i jail broke it too get free games my series i only want it too play games not movies . i was looking a blu ray player for my setup not having too move my xbox series x allot .

I have the SONY Blu-Ray DVD BDP-S1700 And have a SAMSUNG TV UN32EH4003F My problem is when I get to the SOURCE it shows up NO SIGNAL so I can't get to the HDMI 2 to watch a movie or get back to the HDMI 1 to watch the TV, but I called SAMSUNG and the guy took me to switch the HDMI in back of the TV so I can get back to the TV but I want be able to use the Blu-ray to watch movies I will have to switch again in order to watch movies. Anyway I ordered another Samsung remote control because I had the one that came with the TV for a long time and DISH will be sending me another remote control. So when I get these 2 things, BEST BUY told me that they will come to my home to set up the Blu-ray to the TV for me.

I’ve bought this item twice from Walmart. While paperwork lists connecting cable as included, it is not. Do not buy this. Be leery of Walmart electronics section - they do not help.

Does it have to have internet to play? Literally can not get ours to play. We did not want to connect it to the internet. The blu ray screen comes up briefly and disappears … nothing on the remote works except turning it on and off and eject. What the heck.. never ever had a blu ray not be plug and play.

Same here, but once in a while, I do get Blu Ray... But these say the TV upconverts and things look very clean and crisp anyway.

If its on Blu-ray, il usually by on Blu-ray. But there still tons of things not on Blu-Ray. Like TV Shows and old low budget movies.

why asking for region free thats absolutely what ruins new bluray. youtube already suggests way too many region free blurays it drives me crazy. why? because what if I and others want to find the newest best bluray player. you can't do that with already modded blu ray players. we need to find best out of box blu ray player then search for region free on our own NOT region free first.
