Sony CDP CX350 Complete Belt Replacement How To. This video shows how I replaced all 3 belts in this Sony 300 CD player unit. Apologies for the bad audio in some sections. This was the first time using this camera and I didn't realize I had my finger over the mic on a few occasions.

Very good step by step instructions. I was a first timer at this. By following the video I was able to successfully replace my belts and only had one orphan screw left over...... I do have one comment and that is this video did not address those of us that had a carousal full of Cd's. These had to be removed before the part could be lifted out to access the door belt. A real treat trying to keep the cd's in order and back into the correct number slot. Anyway, thanks for a great instructional video.

Great video,thx,life is much easier when you pull off the back to change those 2 belts.Dreadding having to change the door belt ,your step by step video makes it a lot easier.thx again jeff ,look fwd to more videos.

You just allayed my fears about tearing down my player and replacing the belts. Now to figure out how to make my arthritic fingers work well enough to make the swap of old to new belts. I’m hoping this will resolve the issues of my player no longer working. Also, I’m trying to figure out why my light went from green to blue when I was first tinkering with it. THE DISC TRAY IS NOT NUMBER SPECIFIC. It recalibrates itself when it is put back in the machine and powered on. I discovered this after i forgot to mark the tray, a good "whoops" i suppose

After replacing the belts and them moving seemingly fine, what would be the reason for the disc not lining up with the clamps, always about one slot short?

Been watching a lot on videos on these particular units. All seem to have the same gooey belts. I can't help but notice that the two belts in the back seem to be located near what looks to be a transformer on the back panel. Is that possibly a transformer causing heat to kill the belts? Seems odd that the belts get gooy, I would expect dried up belts instead. Nice repair sir.

Not likely! Drive belts just get gummy and stretched out of shape over time. I used to see this in 8 track players back in the day when I worked on them.
