Hi thanks very much for this great video. I am looking into buying one of these 3 cameras but can't seem to make up my mind and I like them all but of course can buy and need only one. My heart is with UMP and head with both Canon c200 and fs7 mark 1. All these camcorders have their own unique qualities and selling points. I think I would have settled with c200 mainly if they had more and better quality recording codecs internally and mainly dual cfast card slots for back up like UM has. UMP also records to two ssd externally. UMP is great but not exactly very good in very low light so it's not great for some type of event work I think but still it's not at all bad in low light. Fs7 seems very good too but again I very much like UMP's cinematic looks and ergonomics and features and mainly it's price. I need a good camcorder for events and for narrative films and I consider myself a total beginner. Kindly please advice on which camera would you buy now in 2018 considering you have not much experience with professional filming and have no lens etc but are ready to invest, learn and grow in the only industry which you love. Your kind advice will be highly appreciated. Cheers.

Hi Amit, Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you're stuck between the 3 cameras and you're solely using it to film narrative films and events I would certainly recommend the Sony FS7. It's actually our go-to camera for events, the main reason being because of its high native ISO and high dynamic range. We've filmed at many event locations in the past where the venues contain quite moody lighting which is great ambience for the visitors, but can be difficult to shoot at in terms of exposure. Having a camera with a high native ISO of 2000 means that you'll have a clean image free from any digital noise. The FS7 is also really cinematic and will benefit your narrative films too with the help of it's S Log 2/ S Log 3 and Super 35mm sensor. As worthy a contender the UMP is, I just think you'll struggle with your exposure during event filming, unless you have your own lighting kit also! Best of luck with your filming!
