Great camera work but you have to take into to account that these are two different cameras and the price range as well. The CX 405 is still the best value in its price range.

@@luk_maker3396 I have enjoyed it. Easy to operate, quality seems good to me. I have over 200 clips used outdoors so far of whitetail deer. Over 300 yards away while zoomed in at 100% videos do get a little grainy. Windy days it picks up a little extra noise from the wind is my only complaints. Check out my November videos. Most of them are filmed with it.

Nice review, but for the money, the 405 is a contender in the entry level units. For what the AX43 costs, I would go with Panasonics VX981. Better price, great 4K features and is a workhorse. Thanks.

From what I can conclude, the AX43 has superior image quality. It has better image saturation. Surprisingly CX405 is somewhat better at recording the audio. Neither camera is equipped with a "wind-remover" feature, which was available on my antiquated Panasonic NV-GS35

Great points. I would like the 4K camera to replace my HD Sony camera but the price is a little too much at the moment. I am still impressed by the zoom on the smaller camera if you do not zoom fully.

In my opinion CX405 is better camera than AX43 because of the size and weight. CX405 is so tiny so that you can put in any of your pocket and barely feel it + have great zoom. Regarding AX43 I would just leave it at home because just lazy to carry it and better use my phone to take videos (which takes better video than AX43).

I have a Sony AX53 which is essentially an AX43 but with a less expensive zoom (about 5X). At this point, it would be nice if Sony would provide a firmware upgrade. The AX43 and variants should be able to record in a LOG color mode to make it easier to match to other cameras.

So you lose the 20x zoom, but in 2024 why not do a DJI Osmo pocket 3? Rock solid stabilization, 1 in sensor, and tiny form factor? It can even be had at a cheaper price than the ax43a if bought used. Do these cameras make sense today?

Hi, I've got the Sony Fdr-Ax33 camera. I've got a problem. When I shoot 20 minutes or longer videos, when I transfer my videos to the computer, my videos are divided into two. Example: 20 minutes video is displayed in two separate files as 10 minutes on the computer. How can I solve this problem. I want my long videos in a single file. I don't want every 10 minutes to be a separate file. I want my long videos in one file. I would be very grateful if anyone helps?

Lens quality in CX405 is terrible. And low light performance of that old matrix is poor. But it is so light and small - when on my Manfrotto tripod - it looks like a toy. Other good thing - when I film in the city no one is afraid of it. But I miss better quality for postprocessing.

@@giorgosvasilakopoulos1534 Oczywiście, że nie. Miałem większość hadycamów Sony i wiem, że akurat 405 i 450 miały najlepszą jakość w dość niskiej cenie. Przede wszystkim bez sensu jest porówynywanie 4K z FHD, należało obie kamery ustawić na najwyższą możliwą jakość w FHD i wtedy porównywać. Cx 405 to bardzo dobra kamera. Inna kwestia to to, że YT pogarsza jakość.
