Why do you assume that when those 200 games come out, there won't be another 200 in the works? PCVR doesn't have Exclusives like Resident Evil & Gran Turismo but hey if you wanna mod them sure. I'm a physical collector, PCVR doesn't appeal to me

@@Alien_isolationist There might be another 200 games in the works who knows? but im sick to death of hearing about these BS hit piece articles on how the PSVR2 is dead or Sony doesn't care blah blah blah, but if there is any truth about any of this BS then I'm just stating that for me personally I can still get a good few years out of this headset and PC compatibility will also increase longevity, so it's a big F**ck You to those naysayers who are trying their hardest to bring the PSVR2 down, we're still here we're playing and we will be for a long time, so get used to it.

The longer you wait the cheaper better PCs will become, they’ll be more apps and mods to help, and there will be more games, so if you can wait then you’re good. I’ve just hit the point where there’s enough available for me now (especially because of UEVR) and I’ve waited long enough for it to get where I wanted to start diving in.

I wonder what's stopping someone from making an official UEVR style app for PS5 🤔 imagine playing your library in VR. Even if it somehow lowered the settings, you needed a PS5 pro, or it only worked on PS4 or earlier games it would be awesome

Honestly AJ, I wish flat2vr had officially become a company when psvr2 first launched. Sony could have invested in this company to bring their IPs and 3rd party to psvr2. I would love to play Wreckfest in vr, but the possibilities would be endless. More people would get into vr, and the psvr2 would sell like hot cakes. Hopefully flat2vr can save this headset by Sony staying out of their way and let them do their thing. Sony can always restart production but they need to let someone drive up sales. If not you'll never see full use of the headsets features on PC because there would be no incentive for devs to spend the time on such a low number of headsets

Don't blame you at all for your new focus on high end VR experiences. I really hope one day soon UEVR will somehow be able to utilise ETDFR to max out performance on PC.. that could really blow the doors off. We're only scratching the surface without DFR, it's gotta become VR industry standard at some point.. just crazy to waste all that processing power on stuff you're not even seeing in the periphery of your vision. If PSVR2 does one thing for the industry, I hope its instigating that as a necessary feature. Be crazy to see how far standalone could even be pushed if it had that (battery issues not withstanding lol)

100% could be a huge deal for mods to get DFR working. I’m sure the Vr chat folks would love it and yeah performance increase could also help greatly for some of these strenuous UEVR games.

I wouldn't worry much about Playstation VR. 2 1st party and a couple 2nd party games every other year is more then any other VR headset maker is doing. 3rd party support is very strong, Alien, Metro, Behemoth & Wanderer for 2024

I'm not worried about it for the rest of the year. After that, we shall see. I've done everything I can to support it and I regret nothing, but I hold no allegiance to SONY, and they don't to us either anymore, it's just where my favorite gaming experiences have been. We'll see how they respond in time.

The big thing is that DFR and PSSR compression (not releasing until PS5 Pro) can probably optimize Returnal without really having to make major changes to games. Shit dude, we need dualsense VR games like Ghostwire! My hope is that Sony making the PC adapter are testing games in UEVR themselves and seeing the merit in dualsense “dirty”/“lazy” ports and atleast port their own PC ported games to PSVR2 on PS5/PS5 Pro.

Unfortunately I think SONY are focused on surviving and growing, and that means through major IPs, Gaas, and Movie/TV. That doesn't mean they won't still be conducting research though, I'm still watching them.

@@PSVRUNDERGROUND While I don’t put a lot of weight on the results of the survey they put out like last week or the week before, clearly they are looking for some direction and I’m sure most people didn’t say everything was great. I know I didn’t. It’s kind of interesting that Flat2VR got one or more PlayStation SDKs then what they had. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing about some otherwise once believed never possible games hitting PSVR2.

It's maddening Sony would think a premium headset would sell without premium content, and think people would buy it, without even any promise of future content. It's a lesson they learned hard with Betamax and Minidisc to name a few, and the reason why they bought music majors and movie studios, to make sure their future products will have content. And indeed Blu-ray was a success over HD-DVD. And they would have forgotten content is king when working on PSVR2? I can't believe it.

To them they have to focus on selling their flat screen games and IPs and getting the most out of them. That’s what the leadership cares about. There are some people at SONY that truly care about VR, but they are greatly outnumbered, and aren’t convincing investors.

Wanderer will make a lot of people happy, but Alien & Metro will quiet the naysayers til Behemeoth & Zombie Army drop. Once Low-Fi is out its over with, Playstation VR cant be denied after that. Flying in a cop car through basically what looks like Blade Runner is going to be a top seller.

@@ThatReplicant gamers care if the games are good or not, not who owns them. Many don't own a PC, & Playstation is a far cheaper option. Quest 3 has PS3 graphics at best. Having good games is reason enough to buy PSVR 2.

The thing that’s wild is that clearly it only takes 1 hit (Alyx) to legitimize PSVR2. Personally, I think it’s The Persistence 2 and Naughty Dog’s next game as a Hybrid game.

AJ have you tried Half Life Alyx yet? ALSO highly recommend Alien Isolation with MotherVR Mod, its a simple drag and drop .dll file. So simple.

Yes, and yes :) Only a little though, I'm still focused on learning a bunch of things first, then once I get to a good spot (I'm pretty close tbh) will just chill and enjoy the games all the way through. For now, just testing what works and what my PC can handle and sharing.

I don’t even think Sony may be pulling back from VR because of PSVR2 IF that’s even what they are doing. Obviously, they know a PlayStation platform with a minuscule amount of PlayStation games isn’t going to display the platform in the best light. Ultimately, I think their losses with Bungie and cancelled unreleased games put them in a bad spot. If that’s the case come the end of 2025 if all the new releases are generating billions they may very well fund PSVR2 dev again.

Yeah unfortunately as predicted their leadership shit the bed and now they've gone into survival mode. They had it good with Shawn Layden and Shuhei but screwed them over and now their paying for it. It's not uncommon for big companies to have struggles like these though, and hopefully they bounce back because I do think they were originally on the right track.

@@PSVRUNDERGROUND I think Sony is doing just fine tbh. They dropped 7 Exclusives in 2023, & 3rd party is carrying them in 2024, with 2 more Exclusive 1st Party games, and I'm sure several more 2nd Party exclusives for 2025. Resident Evil 9 VR unlikely, after getting the last 3 games from capcom?
