Sony just revealed a whole new series Handycam on CES 2013, a lot of them has balance optical steady shot. And the brand new flagship PJ790 with "built-in external microphone"!!!

After using my 6 years old SONY DCR DVD-703, I finally have the chance to replace it with my brand new SONY HDR-PJ760v
This is an non professional test, I filmed this around Taipei City with 1080 60p iAuto

Good video. I had the "professional" version of this camera with the shotgun mic, xlr input handle. Great camera especially the projector and optical image stabilization features.

NX30 is the pro version of 760, NX 70 is the pro version of 700. I think the only differences between NX30 and 760 are the settings and the microphone (Personally don't know what feature NX30 has) I know Panasonic camcorders has time lap recording, but 760 and 700 don't have that feature. 760 do have features like 3 sec slow record,super night shot, wind noise reduction,24p cinematic mode... etc. And the format is mts. If there's something still not clear or any questions, please let me know :-D

投影效果方面: 在昏暗環境下飽和度清晰度都非常好(約20流明) 優點: 強大的防手震系統 色彩鮮豔 影像品質佳 對焦快而精準(如果不滿意,手動對焦有很多補助系統!) 聽不到馬達的聲音 缺點: 因為防手震系統的關係,機型較大而且蠻重的(580g)  放大時,雖然有全方位防手震,但也因為如此,有個問題,就是當你­放望遠端移動鏡頭停下來時,影像會繼續移動(因為鏡頭會動的關­係),這在對準目標拍攝時的確是個麻煩,所如果有架角架,建議可­把防手震關掉 錄影時拍照是不能說的秘密,雖是說可以在錄影時拍照,但要在錄­製1080 60i的條件下才能邊路邊拍, 最後 雖然說是有2410萬的靜態攝影實力,但那是模擬出來的,晶片的­實際有效像素是614萬,但如果在不放大觀賞的情況下,靜態照片­表現還OK 其餘的地方這台攝影機都表現優異,就算在低光源下,表現也不俗(­有機會傳測試片上來),我之前原本是比較SONY這台跟Pana­sonic X900,不知道要選哪一台,但最後我沒有後悔我選SONY 有什麼問題我會盡量回答 謝謝你的觀賞

Camcorders are designed to record videos so as the machine itself, it's much more lighter and more comfortable to hold for a long time, even if you are holding it high in the sky 2. Big internal memory storage 3. Powerful stabilizer 4. Long battery life while recording videos 5. The format of 760 is AVC-HD progressive, which means you will have beautiful image quality 6. Can record in 1080 60p 7. More manual controls for Videos

60D and 760v are almost the same price, so money won't have to compare. DSLR used to perform better at night than camcorders, but 760v performs very in low light environments, so I can't tell who performs better... I personally recommend camcorder if you just want to film, but if you also want to take profession quality picture with the same machine, then you can consider 60D Although 60D has vari-angle screen, it's still hard to use when you hold it up high.

If you want to have both advantages from DSLR and camcorder, you can choose something like SONY NEX-VG20, but you'll also have to prepare more money... (My opinions above are due to personal experience, please correct me if I got anything wrong :) )

Yeap, because this camcorders sensor is not as big as DSLR cameras', if you want "bokeh type" shots, you will have to be close enough to the object to get enough field depth, and you will also have to turn the iris to the max Well I think other camcorders can do the same trick (But I'm not sure how others perform), but there's no deny that the stabilization is great! DSLR Advantage: 1.Can change lens 2.With bigger sensor Disadvantage: 1. No matter how big your memory card is, your maximum recording time is limited around 12 mins in 1080 30p (60D) 2. It's too heavy and hard to hold for a long time due to the design of the machine 3. The stabilizer is not as strong as the ones on camcorders

It can record in 60p, 60i and 24p for the NTSC version For PAL, it records in 50p, 50i and 24p Smooth slow motion record mode can record in 120p (Not sure if it's 120 or 240) for 3 secs~

you might be right but then the sony smokes in a handful of other things like steady shot vs image stabilization in canon which is pretty much useless compared to steady shot. sony has wireless connectivity which canon Does not. Sony can take higher resolution still pictures and i'm sure there are other things i'm missing.

Haha~ yeah the steady shot is amazing And image quality is very good too! But 760 relative heavier than normal camcorder, but still, a lot convenient than tripods~

CX / PJ760's image stabilizer is second to none (Canon's suck), and the 26mm lens is great (Canon = 30mm), but HF-G10 smokes the Sony (considerably) in low light performance and dynamic range. The G10 looked as good as a DSLR in low-low light. Guess it depends what features are more important. They are both 9.5/10 but for different reasons.

LOL Yea, I think if you set the white balance by manual, the color will be more accurate, it seems to be a little blue in the film

My dream to be free of a heavy tripod to get good moving shots, this camera is ideak for mountain climbers. My Sony HRD-XR 550 is a pleasure to use. so my next purchase will be SONY HDR PJ760v

I use Corel Video Studio X4, X5. I personally think it is not professional enough, since it lowers Full HD video quality (Like the video above), I think is the format problem,trying solve that now~ Yea, I think Sony sells external microphone
