Sony MHC-881, also known as MHC-D7 and most popularly know as MHC-G88 or simply “G88” was model of the year 1996. It’s direct competitor during that time was Aiwa NSX-V800. Aiwa's "V800" was louder, had more details on the high frequencies (treble), had a very detailed surround sound driven by Front Surround speaker system, and had amazing display and looking angles but lacked the true bass definition and reliability. Sony's "G88" was ahead due to its high durability, reliability and rich set of sophisticated functionalities and features that included 20 presets and 5 custom equallizer files (perhaps the biggest preset equalizer ever accommodated in a mini system), along with very powerful and punching bass and much more balanced and natural sound. "G88" was extremely popular in Asia and remained a very popular and iconic model for many years to come. It has an incredible design and features that not many other sony model holds. Perhaps it was the finest exponent in 3CD Changer, Mini HiFi systems era. I was in my teens those days and I still remember, people were crazy about "G88" but it was an expensive product. Perhaps, Aiwa won in the areas of beauty, style and pricing, whereas Sony was the clear overall winner in durability, features and superb sound quality.

These G88s were well built, there are so many in great shape on Ebay everynow and then. However, the next model beat out all competition altogether from all angles, the incredible GR8 (Asia) RX90 (Europe, wasnt sold in N.America). It came out with VACs to prevent distortion, it had 3 tweeters in each speaker, a powerful surround sound, and the first EVER DJ Mix gear system. The system was way ahead of its time and its still an incredible model. I saw a brand new one on youtube and I begged him to sell it to me, he never responded haha.

@@Shamsithaca yeah, GR8 was very good as well but if you would compare bass, G88 had more powerful and gripping bass then GR8 however GR8 had VACS and DJ mix which was a mind blowing feature that time. G88 also had CD Music Clip feature.

@@salmansh8 I have never heard a G88 in person, but when the GR8 came out, people went crazy, its woofers were very strong, and thick, even if you see these units now, the woofers are still looking as good as new, they must have put a lot of research on the materials for them. I dont think units made today will last 30 years without needing a lot of repairs.

It's a local brand. It's a kitchen cleaner that removes grease and dirt. But you can use the MR Muscle Kitchen liquid, which is available in every country. Use the version to remove grease and dirt from the stove.

Found my problem in this part of the repair. The gear under the main engaging gear can't even touch the engaging gear as most of the engaging gear is broken off by aging of plastic. My gear turned dark yellow already.

Аналогичный аппарат у меня. В левой деке блок с головкой завис в верхнем положении. Реверс не работает. Включаешь хоть левую, хоть правую деку, работает только левая вперед. В чем может быть дело?
