I found one of these brand new in the box on eBay about a year ago and bought it. I love it. It sounds amazing. I added a Bluetooth adapter to it.

@@ValentineVidalperformer mine is called an mpow Bluetooth adapter. They have different ones. Just search for 3.5 to Bluetooth adapter

The version of the MHC-EC55 for the other world regions had a cassette player on top- albeit a pretty basic one. The back of the receiver unit looks like those old CRT tvs.

Last month at Goodwill I saw this exact model with the cassette player on top. But since I had other priorities to deal with and the fact that that unit wasn't a "needed" accessory for me I passed on getting it.

I have the mhc ec70 it`s a banger! (twice the power of this one, it`s an eviction machine) Btw, that AUX can take a full 2V line in signal if I`m not mistaken, so if you run your phone through something like a FiiO E11K, it`ll get even louder with better dynamics ;)

Mine has an issue. Drawer won't open. I took the cover off, but it looked too difficult to get to the belts. I just use it as an amplifier and tuner

DSGX - Dynamic Sound Generator X-tra. Man, it does sound pretty nice. Slightly more bass range than the Sony MHC-EC69i I filmed a while back. Oh yeah, and the Cassette Comeback intro. His name _is_ Tony.

I had both the EC68 and EC69 they didn't distort on the standard amplifier playing CD's atleast, idk if you can overdrive them using PC/Line input tho, but the EC68 had more bass forsure, the EC69 seemed to me to sound a bit cleaner? idk man thats about ago from 2012 at last that i had the EC68

I have one that was in a yard sale. The speaker's aren't hooked to it, can you demonstrate/show how to connect the speaker to this on UTube. I don't have a clue on hooking speaker up. Lol.

Its color codded. Red wire to red and black wire to black.

There's 4 black and red clip like things on the back put the red in the red and the black in the black but if the cords don't have any color it does not matter

It's very loud. The bass goes down to around 40 Hz, but the speaker excursion goes down to at least 5 Hz. Gets so loud you can feel it punching your chest.

Bass is pretty punching. This stereo can get rather loud. It starts to really punch at vol 15, and i believe it can go to 30 so ya its pretty insane.

Mine can't get up to full power cuase of my speakers I have a set that I built it goes on stand by is there any way I can make the max power on this higher or if I can clean up my grounds or something

Its not allowing you to go to full power cause of the speakers. Ether the wires are in on the opposite colors, causing the amp to shut down to prevent damage, Or the speakers that you're using dont match the Watts/Impedance which again the amp will shut off at a specific volume level to prevent damage. thats all I can honestly think of.

Youll need to use the speakers that go with the stereo. If you dont have the original speakers, just make sure that the ones you're using, have the same watts and impedance as i mentioned before, otherwise youll not be able to play anything super loud on it. And if all that checks out and the stereo still does what you say it does, then its gotta be some internal issue that unfortunately I know nothing on how to correct that issue.

Which stereo do u think is better the Panasonic Sa ak12 or sony mhc-ec55

Well that depends. The SA-AK12 has a 5 cd changer and the MHC-EC55 has a 3 cd changer. But the MHC-EC55 can get much louder than the SA-AK12. However the SA-AK12 has a dual reverse cassette deck while the MHC-EC55 has none but has MP3 disc support. Both have an AUX input, But the SA-AK12 doesnt have CD-RW support, but the MHC-EC55 does. So its a good competition for sure and with that said i cant really give you a valid answer, cause I cant even decide.

I had a SA-AK12. I got it from goodwill, I then later sold it to someone who would actually use it. That was last year, then last week I was in a different goodwill and saw another SA-AK12 lol

If your device that you were using had the volume maxed and it was still too quiet on you stereo, then there might be an issue with the stereos amp... im not quite sure.

This specific model never displays the vol at 100%. mine goes to 30% then flashes "max" 30% is the loudest it can go.
