Thank you for your detailed presentation. All these artistic and creative filters, painting, hdr, etc. are they applicable in the vidoe mode or just for the still photo mode ? Thank you.

Yes, you can use the Picture Effects and the Creative-Style-Filters for videos. HDR not, this a Photo-Only-Feature, because for a HDR-Picture you need three or more pictures with different exposure-settings.

Very well and informative review but I have a little bit trouble with the lcd screen visibility in this vid (suppose not the best angle of view) , anyway sony NEX 6 looks like very nice camera.

Hi Ralfs, I had made a video recording for my kid while playing in park at 6:00 pm but the video was poor around his face is there a good solution for better recording?

Sorry for that, I know the problem and tried my very best. The screen of the NEX-6 is very difficult to film, because of the low contrast in the menues with the light-grey background.

Thanks. I don't know why sony is not able to make a simple, clear and easy to understand menue. And I don't know why they make different menues for the NEX, when you upgrade from one of the compactcameras you have to learn everything new. Other companies make a better job when it comes to the menues.

great review ! - must say that the menu system still stinks :) - but they are trying to salvage with the FN quick menu - hopefully Sony will update with firmware update for NEX7 - I think the RX100 has a nice menu system - much like the RX1 and the Sony DSLRs and everyone complains about it - so why does not Sony change to be like the others -
