great vid, really easy to digest and follow along with for people who havent worked on these before. it really does seem a lot more intimidating to take apart than it really is by the way, anyone who needs to tune the drop-in location on the record (ie drops a little too early or late), you can find the service manual online and it details how to do it on page 16, seems pretty common that gets a little off after some years

Yup...seems that folks that get into vintage gear doesn't quite understand that inevitably you will need to do some adjusting here and there.

Currently working through the exact same issue on the exact same player I bought in an estate sale , fingers crossed the belt replacement I ordered works.

Nice repair. I do have one gripe with Linear Trackers. I like to see the tonearm in action as the record plays. Otherwise, I could be listening to a cd player. Do you know what I mean?

I do - the only benefit I see with an encased linear tracker is the ability to stack something on top of it.

I have one of these and I just ordered a belt for the tonearm but the platter doesn't spin. Any thoughts what I should check for?

Your best bet is to start a thread on Vinylengine or Audiokarma for help...too many things could be causing the issue to troubleshoot via comments in KZbin.

I'm having an issue where the tone arm gets stuck in the same spots and loops on near mint records

Id check the guide rod that the tonearm assembly glides on…probably needs a good cleaning or other TLC.
